I suppose I get grim satisfaction that Baldwin and AB's contracts both technically expire in 2023.

I suppose I get grim satisfaction that Baldwin and AB's contracts both technically expire in 2023. Just, wow. Another 14 months of ineptitude. Like you said, at least their contracts expire concurrently. Of course, that doesn't preclude either from getting an unjustified extension in that time.

I can't say I'm surprised.

Here's the email I got from the FOIA contact at UWM: So yeah. Amanda very well may have gotten that contract extension, and we just don't know. Now's the time for everyone to make a lot of f***ing noise.

This is utter bull.
This was to get JR to come to MKE. Perhaps maybe he would have played hard, but he didnt.
Not to go back to Jeter, but HE HAD A WINNING RECORD and GOT FIRED.
This AD is a hypocrite and if I saw her today I'd tell her off for not living up to HER OWN STANDARDS!

So if anyone still goes to games, can we get some Braun sucks type chants going? I will be there Sunday and will gladly chant along. Hell, if we can get a nice group back together, I will bring the old hardhat. It still hangs from my workshop ceiling to remember the good times.

I would love to see a cost/benefit analysis of continuing with PBS for another year vs missing the boat on an up and coming head coach like Lamont Paris.
I understand it would be estimated, but I can almost guarantee it would cost us more money in the long run to stick with PBS vs eating a year of his contract.
After last year, and the way the season ended, I thought PBS showed signs of life as a HC. It appeared as though he could be turning the corner, and getting his team to finally perform when it mattered. (Beating #1 WSU and giving CSU a solid game in the semis ). I thought that perhaps with more talent, and another year under his belt, we could make some noise this year. Clearly I was wrong. There must be some dysfunction behind the scenes to perform so poorly this year, with the talent that we have.

Amanda Braun clearly let it known that progression as a head coach and "showing signs of life" was wholly unimportant in March 2016.

What's the big deal? Amanda fired a winning coach with a year left on his contract. Why can't a losing coach and a losing AD be fired with a year left on theirs?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Mone?

I’m probably considered an Amanda Braun apologist on the board because I tend to be cautious (perhaps to a fault) about blaming her over things she had little control over.
Extending a failure of a head coach is entirely her fault.
I started chanting “Fire Baldwin” at the end of the NKU game but found that I was too self-conscious to continue. But if anybody wants to start a “Fire Baldwin” or “Fire Braun” chant at the game tonight, I will join in.
Oh, and i tend to boo whenever Baldwin is announced as the head coach. I’m always hoping others will join so it’s hard for anyone in the building to ignore. Please join me on that.

Just to be fair, PBS could still achieve a winning season.
All he has to do is coach the team to sweep the remaining four regular season games, sweep four in the HLT, win the First Four game, and then win the round of 64 game.
Of course, if we somehow avoided the First Four (or, say, lost to Cleveland State tonight), he’d have to get us at least to the Sweet 16.
Excitement awaits.

It sure sounds to me like either payola or gross negligence. It certainly isn't meeting a set of standards (as if those ever existed; hint: they didn't).

So will we see PBJ next year in MKE or not? Be loud in your anger this weekend. Send letters to Mark Mone at Chapman Hall. Write letters to the editor at the Journal Sentinel. Tweet at local sportscasters (that's where they're most active). The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Time for us to get real f***ing squeaky, so we can be real f***ing greasy.lol
