The HR contact that I worked with in her absence was unable to locate any contract extension. So not only is UWM's athletic director and head coach incompetent and chancellor apathetic regarding sports, the people who respond to FOIA requests and/or in HR can't get it right either. Wow, just wow.

When AB fired Jeter she explained it would not be good to keep a lame duck head coach for the final year of his contract. It happens at respectable programs all the time.

The bad news is this is AB and she is at UWM. There is no credibility or consistency for the first sentence to apply now.

By the way, could all of you who over the past few months gave props to AB for not caving and giving PBS an extension while waiting for PBJ's commitment announcement please raise your hand so we can throw a few virtual rotten tomatoes at you?

Related note: PBJ waited to commit until long after there could be any "recruiting halo" despite the fact PBS already had an extension. Let that sink in.
