ok, Sophie's Choice of the day - If we only had two choices would we take Coach Baldwin or pmck Now to make it more interesting would we take Jeter or pmck....certainly pmck's number of first place and upper three finishes at both stops is far beyond Jeters although Jeter had the NCAA appearance I’ll go out on a limb and say I’d probably pick pmck over Baldwin strictly because if he was on our team, I’d probably have been ok with his shenanigans if it meant being a constant contender. Other than, you know, screwing over his team by getting a technical foul in the conference semi finals. Kinda like how Green Bay would have loved Bruce Pearl if he was their coach. On the other hand, his reputation from his time at Rutgers (?) makes me think that maybe I would have taken even a total failure over pmck. Eh, I’d find a player to become a player/coach. Couldn’t be any worse than what we have now, and we wouldn’t have the stench of pmck here either. Haha I still remember when the comparisons between the AD and Rachel Phelps arose when the unpleasantness happened. One thing that popped into my head was that in Major League, Rachel Phelps got her manager from Toledo. If that had happened here, could you imagine?

If the Fairleigh Dickinson job is open, Kareem will have competition from PMCK. I must point out a blatant rules violation: "'pmck' shall have no capitalization and no punctuation." 🤣 Oh, this makes my heart happy. pmck, how I miss you so.

Bottom line: if you're NEVER relevant in March, you're NOT RELEVANT. No amount of November or December success will ever change that.

I think it is time to start putting pressure on the UW System to fire Mone. I don't trust any leaders anymore at UWM. We need an overhaul and to find a chancellor that supports athletics. Why is it so difficult for educators to understand that athletics sells a university. Successful athletics is the best marketing for a university. Mark Mone doesn't realize that! He might be a nice guy but it's time to send him packing!

Its flagship program, the Wisconsin Badgers, are supported very well. There appears to be very little will among the UW System Board of Regents to support UW-Milwaukee Panthers athletics beyond its current state.

i know this is stating the obvious and preaching to the choir but I have to vent. Admittedly I have only attended one game in person in last 3 years and virtually no tv as I do not have cable so it has been radio only unless I can access via the rabbit ears antennae. On that front wow , Scott Warris has really become IMO an excellent play by play guy but I digress: (also really like Joah on tv last night, honest but respectuful color analyst....
Now, watching this I was shocked. Frankly, the quality of play and coaching was not up to Ric Cobb's level and personally I love Ric This was shameful. In watching PBS demeanor, preparation, in game coaching, there is NOTHING there!!! I also do not see the great talent everyone is talking about, NKU was so much longer, stronger, etc.,,,,I am ready for the brown bags to come out as in finally actually using the eye test I am astounded at how awful we play and are coached. then on top of it the horrible look on tv with the sparse gathering and sparse is too kind a word....I am really worried that the Arena lease expires in 2023. We have this fantastic branding and facility and if we squander this and do not renew that lease that is it for me. I am done..... I will live with memories of Baker Field House and Kessemm Grimes.....

The only thing getting me through this season is watching highlights of MATC on YouTube. There are some decent players in Milwaukee. Obviously we need a new direction and hope we find it. I think The Baldwins should will together to prepare for The NBA. I hope it happens before the season ends. The search for a new coach will begin. The style of play has changed in The Horizon and if a coach can’t adapt we will see this happen again and again. I think most people on this board always wanted a long athletic team with three point shooters on and off the bench. A 6’10’ player who can’t catch and shoot is still a player who can’t catch and shoot. I have always been a sports conspiracy theorist and have attended all but The Xavier game. You all must know how I feel today. But I have been surprised by the increased involvement by new assistant coach Austin Hansen. He has a nice resume. He is young and affordable. Given the impending resignation or departure of The Baldwins may he be assigned interim coach. Can’t be any worse. There is some luck involved in this BS called sports. Coaches come out of nowhere and disappear just as fast. I was at Major Goolsbeys after the game and V Baker was first player seen. I guess he didn’t need to shower. Someone yelled “Get healthy Vin, we need you”. And a lot more!

For the interim, sure. I've got no issue with that. As far as our next hire, I don't want anyone without a proven track record of HEAD coaching success at any COLLEGE level. Let's just not go down the assistant road again.

I agree that they certainly could be doing a lot better to help Milwaukee but we're our worst enemy. This board always blames Marquette or Wisconsin when things go bad. But I saw an old conference rival (Butler) make the championship game 2 years in a row before eventually moving on to a better conference. I see another former conference member (Loyola) leave for a better conference and make the Final Four. Let’s point the finger at the individuals who have done nothing to improve our conference affiliation, the program, and have been unsuccessful in their roles. At most big-time schools, the AD's job security is centered around the success of their revenue-producing sports and the head coaching hires for each. Milwaukee shouldn't be different and needs a fresh start.
