54-85. That is all that needs to be said. Also, I do agree they are protecting PBJ's draft stock but it continues to fall the more he does not play. Most mock drafts now have him in the 16-20th range in the first round.

I am glad that this discussion has evolved. We fire the Coach and everyone else and think things will get better. It is about changing the mindset and realizing that The Program needs to improve with what we now have. Why is this radical thinking. Why not let us see what we can do to get better with the hand we hold. Recruit and sell the program. It will work.

It is a complete lack of thinking to think it is prudent to move forward with a failed fraud of a head coach that is 30 GAMES UNDER .500 AND WHOSE OWN SO-CALLED "NBA LOTTERY PICK" SON CAN'T EVEN HELP HIM TO LOOK COMPETENT. I don't know how you could possibly support this coach and call yourself a sports fan. A sadist, perhaps, but not a sports fan.

I honestly don’t think you’ll get anyone on this board to agree that the head coach for the 2022-2023 Milwaukee Panthers should be Pat Baldwin. I think there are merits to both firing him now and waiting until the end of the season, but I don’t think many mid major coaches are fired mid season.

Also, PBJ does play a factor....even for as little as he has played. I don't think there is anyway PBS is fired mid season.

How many people outside of this Board know Demetrius Harris? I don't think he is in any MKE marketing efforts?! Likewise, even if PBJ gets to the NBA, he won't be extolling the virtues of Milwaukee. Players are in and out of schools with the major prevalence of the portals. Further, JUCO transfers have added to this lack of reverence for their alma mater.
My question is: If Dad gets shown the door, would PBJ enter the portal instead of the draft?

at this point, i say fire Baldwin now. we're 7-15 in one of the worst conferences in the country. not only are we losing games we should be winning, we are getting BLOWN OUT. what is the use of keeping him for the last 9 games, nearly all of which will be losses? keeping him ends up with his career record at the end of the year of 55-95 , or in that ballpark. What school would keep a coach thats 40 under .500?

At this point I have to believe that haroldlee is actually a comedy account of some sort.
“Folks, when you’re in the deepest, darkest hole in history, the way out is… to keep digging!”

The two NBA scouts I've spoken to about PBJ this season both told me they think an NBA-level training staff will be fine for his ankle problems. The one I've more recently spoken with believes the same thing most of us do, which is that PBJ is being held out in order to keep him from aggravating an injury that would further dampen his draft prospects.
FWIW, they're both thinking he's fallen out of the lottery now. As recently as a month ago both were saying he was a lottery pick.

So, poor play +missed time= falling draft position , to being out of the draft entirely. remember the NBA lottery is only 2 rounds and 60 spots. Frankly PBJ would have been better off going to Duke, or Kentucky, or some other blue blood.

Additionally, how successful will our recruiting be with a record that will probably end up 9-22? It’ll be difficult to keep any returning player from transferring too. We need a experienced head coach, that has built a program before and wants to revitalize his career/image. Sean Miller and Dan Majerle come to mind but that’s pretty far fetched.

I got three words: Kareem Abdul Jabbar. 😀 the appeal would be obvious. one of the greatest basketball players to ever step on a court, the greatest Milwaukee Buck ever- and the only one even remotely in the same conversation is the Greek Freak- and would come in with universal name recognition and respect. On the other hand three questions immediately spring to mind: Has Kareem had ANY coaching experience? 2 would he even consider the job. and 3. Could he relate to players at least 50 years younger than him, who werent born until almost 15 years after he played his last NBA game?
