Kyle is the team's primary inside influence.
With Ja' Rob back but no Kyle, the Panthers better play a lot faster than they've been playing to have a remote chance to win.

"Jeter said Boga, along with freshman forward J.J. Panoske of Brodhead, will be redshirted. Boga will have surgery on the injured shoulder, while Panoske said as early as last summer, shortly after joining the Panthers, that there was a good chance he would be redshirted."
This needed to happen with Lonnie. Take a look at how many Juniors we have. Plus I don't know where he was going to play. Good move.

It would be a huge blow to lose Kelm for this game tonight. Frankly I don't see how we win without him. Let's hope he's able to go.

This is really disconcerting news. I know the coaches and team will just say "next man in" but the way Kyle has played this year it will be a huge handicap against a team with Wisconsin's size and strength not to have him. Let's hope he heals quickly.

If we have Ja'Rob back I think we can win without Kyle.... Without Ja'Rob we will have trouble scoring. It is a fact that our chances of scoring increase quite a bit when Ja'Rob is on the court. Hopefully, there will be a game-time decision on Kyle, and if he is out, then this may be Demitrius' time to step up... Gotta be beasts under the boards tonight...James, Tony, Demitrius...GET IT DONE

Ja'Rob is a nice player and all, but we have other guys who can do what he does.
We don't have another player that gives us what Kyle does.

Exactly jhart. Nobody has demonstrated, thus far, that they can come in and replicate Kelm's presence --- especially Harris. His time on the court has only proven that he has no business being on the court in meaningful situations.

We're going to need to be hot from the arc if we want to win. Stretch the defense out.

Agree with all those who say that Kyle is irreplaceable on this team. Without him, no chance.
By the way, the game tonight is at the Klotsche Center, right? (Gotta make it a tough ticket).

That's for sure BP.
With no Kyle, we're going to need 10 to 15 3's go down.
Or shoot something ridiculous like 60+% from the field.

If Kyle can't play we'll need good minutes from Hags, Demetrius and maybe even Christian if he's healthy. A coach as good as Bo is with talent as good as the Badgers have is going to look to exploit us down low.
Irrespective, just play and see what happens.

Jimmy is spot-on. The threes will have to be falling tonight to keep this a close affair. And we'll need more than one guy to be hot. And we'll need Brust to not be hot. Dylan also made a good point about playing faster, which we absolutely will need to do. No sense in playing a slow half-court game when our main big is not on the floor.

So is it a for sure thing that Kyle is out tonite or is there still a chance he plays? Maybe i missed something but it seems that the definite line of him being out has yet to be said, it was just that he "could be out" at this point correct?

Ya he is out. Keep it close and spread out the zone.

Wisconsin will not let us play fast. Much faster teams than ours have tried to speed UW up with utterly no success. Trying to play faster against UW is a recipe for disaster, especially for a team that isn't built to play that way. I'll be very surprised if either team gets to 70. This game will be all about defense and efficiency. We have to defend tenaciously, protect the ball, hit our shots and make our free throws. If that sounds like the way Wisconsin plays, too, it is. It's good basketball and it's how we are built to play and win.
