Evan Richard needs to play more. C'mon Jeter... No -- Evan needs to earn more playing time. The game is still moving too fast for him. Everybody can see that when he "gets it" he's going to be a joy to watch, but he's laboring mentally. It's a pretty common situation for freshmen. It's similar to what Shaq is experiencing.

One thing I know, Buppie, is that like UNI, the Badgers are a disciplined, well-coached team.

Anybody live in Waukesha county or close to the Muskego area and could possibly let me hitch a ride? It is looking like I may be without my car tomorrow and no way to get down to the game. This is one game I CANNOT miss so I'm trying to get something figured out in a hurry. I don't know if I will need a ride for sure but I would like to throw it out there in case. If not its not biggie I am working on other ways to get to the Cell. If you can PM me and thanks ahead of time. I live out in Greenfield and am only a few miles up from Muskego by I-43. If you still need a ride tomorrow, call me.

If you are watching TV tomorrow afternoon, the game is talked about on the Sports 32 Roundtable tomorrow.
Dennis Krause does a good job of making sure they are called the MILWAUKEE PANTHERS, not the UWM Panthers...

espn.go.com/ncb/notebook/_/page/notebookweeklywatch1202/week-2Tuesday Milwaukee (Wisconsin at Milwaukee): Marquette-Wisconsin is this state's best basketball rivalry, but you'd better believe UW-Milwaukee -- the program that was the top seed in the 2011 Horizon League tournament and one with another quality squad in 2011-12 -- will relish the chance to upset the Badgers on their home floor. Could a court-storming be in order?

Oh God, if we win tomorrow I hope to God there's no court-storming.

Why not? It would be our biggest win since 2006, and maybe our biggest regular season nonconference win ever.

Why not? How about because it's a game that wins us absolutely nothing and comes off as bush league? Storm the court when we win the Horizon League tournament.

It wins us absolutely nothing until we're 23-7 and the Tournament committee is looking at our nonconference wins to determine our seed or if we're deserving of an at-large bid.
The idea that UWM beating Wisconsin, the school we're struggling daily to assert our identity independent from, would not be significant is ludicrous. As is the suggestion that our program recording a signature win that allots us national respect is not grounds for celebration, especially given the fact that the last time we rushed the court, most of the students currently enrolled at this university were still in high school. In fact, the latter point is exactly why we've had such a hard time getting kids interested in our f***ing basketball program to begin with. Giving them a memory like rushing the court will help get them to come back.
"Hey, all you kids who are only casually interested in UWM basketball! We're going to treat this win, against a top-15 team that almost everyone considers to be our big brother the same as when we beat UIC. I know it sounds silly to want you kids to be fanatical for your university's basketball team at the same time we want you to be buttoned down and demure after our biggest victory in more than five years, but hey! Trust us on this one!"
If we beat Wisconsin, we rush the floor. Sorry if you'll be offended by the idea that college basketball isn't the military.

I'm not surprised you responded to that with an over-the-top, emotion-laden rant. Students will return to games if the court is rushed after a victory over Madison??? You are a good fan but also let your emotion get in the way of reality. Of course it would be a great victory for the program and a top 10 in program history. But again, we won't qualify for the NCAA's as a result. The whole court-rushing phenomenal has been beaten into the ground. Cheer your asses off and yell as loud as you can. But rushing the court after a victory in December is bush league whether you admit it or not.
