You're likely right, I'm way off base. The more this drags on only diehard UM Men's basketball fans will care. The sports headlines are already filling up with NFL draft day coverage, UM's football coverage is at a Spring peak. You have baseball, the Marlins are only one game out of first place and the University of Miami is ranked 20th and getting coverage. This story will quickly get lost in the media. I like how you completely forget to mention the 3 D-bags and their quest for an NBA Title. Other than that, it's 81 degrees. I'd hate to be there when it's May through September if they're getting 81 every day now. Forgot the Heat, one more story that will top the announcement. I'm not getting the weather reference.

I'm just saying, I'd much rather be in Milwaukee during summer than Miami.

If that is true, then it might mean that the interview came and went, and RJ's not their guy...

If that is true, then it might mean that the interview came and went, and RJ's not their guy... i thought i had read somewhere in the coverage that Jeter's formal interview was scheduled for Wednesday of this week (yesterday).

It's as if something that transpired yesterday between the two parties has prompted the Hurricanes to look elsewhere for a new coach.

It's as if something that transpired yesterday between the two parties has prompted the Hurricanes to look elsewhere for a new coach. Maybe Jeter had that discussion with the still unemployed Todd Lickliter. Jeter could have simply said no and decided to take job stability at Milwaukee.

Not that the NY Post is the epitome of factual journalism, but I think we can all enjoy this. h/t to Jimmy's facebook

I'm just saying, I'd much rather be in Milwaukee during summer than Miami. Miami is pretty much awesome year round. As long as you are near the water, there is pretty much always a breeze, even in mid-august. Next to San Diego, there is no better weather city in America. And Miami is without doubt, the best city to be single in America. I encourage all to visit.

The Magicman has been to Miami twice during the summer months. Wheather was doo-doo both times. Hot, humid, and smelled like sweaty, moldy yellow adidas basketball shoes! The Magicman can name other cities in America with better weather, but chooses not to at this time. Robbie back from vacation yet?

Just checked out the Journal Sentinel. The headline read:
Jeter takes early retirement, moves to Del Boca Vista!
Evidently, he's hanging out with Howard Hughes and Elvis. I never imagined this was even a remote possibility.
