Doesn't matter. Winning fixes ills.
Miami's fans are stupidly fickle anyway. They revel way too much in being THE U.
Man I hate Miami.

There fans suck! Empty football stadium. It's funny on CBS, Tim Brando always says when they show highlights "many fans dressed up as seats today"

And maybe an ammicable parting of the ways could lead to a 2 for 1 with Miami?! That would certainly be a nice compliment to the games already under contract with the in-state BCS schools. I'd prefer a 2-1 w/ Miami if the away games are in the middle of the conference season. Screw that- Get the Horizon to stop these stupid empty arena New Year's games- Go to Miami for New Years game!!!

Depends, Miami for New Year's would be a lot of fun but February is arguably the most brutal month in winter in these parts so a trip to Miami a great break from the norm.

I'm all in. I agree, I little R & R in Miami during the lovely month of February would be ideal. So has RJ called a players meeting? What's the deal...............
If I remember correctly, BP called a players meeting on the Sunday afternoon/evening before his U. of T. press conference on Monday.

Was Jeter interviewed yesterday? If not, today? Tomorrow?

I believe he's been contacted about the job. That's all we know.
Actually, we don't even know that for sure.
Think it's time for a story in the local newspaper to maybe, you know, let us what's going on?

It might be that Miami is dragging out the process for one reason, to offer Jeter under the radar. With the NFL draft and college football spring workouts, UM hiring a basketball coach will get lost. Outside of a few fans, is anyone really gong to pay attention to UM's basketball coach hiring at the height of pre-draft frenzy or the Canes spring football activities?

Why would they want to avoid publicizing such an important hire? If that's truly the case, then they've obviously flunked PR 101. Seriously, there's no way that's the case. If anything, it should be the COMPLETE opposite. They don't typically announce these things based on when the best time is to gain attention, but assuming the time is right, they should promote the hell out of it. Anything else would be a failure in my opinion...

I agree with JG. There's absolutely no reason in the world they wouldn't want to trumpet their new hire as loudly as possible. It would be crazy not to do so.
We'll do the same when we make our next hire.

The sports headlines are already filling up with NFL draft day coverage, UM's football coverage is at a Spring peak. You have baseball, the Marlins are only one game out of first place and the University of Miami is ranked 20th and getting coverage. This story will quickly get lost in the media.

I like how you completely forget to mention the 3 D-bags and their quest for an NBA Title. Other than that, it's 81 degrees. I'd hate to be there when it's May through September if they're getting 81 every day now.
