To have our coach mentioned in a mid-major, major, then high-major team's coaching search is a good thing.
They are, however, in descending interest. Bradley wanted him, Dayton liked the idea, but I think Miami, should they not get Amaker, will go for Mike Davis. In all honesty, they SHOULD go for Frank Martin, whose recruiting would fit "The U" bandit program well.
Aside on Miami - you think they regret their move to the ACC? The Big East became a far better basketball conference after they left, and they'd have an easy road to the BCS every year.

Miami names Eichorst new AD - sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=6337234Miami is really starting to build quite the connection to Madison down there... Interesting fact for me as he's a native of Lone Rock.....I believe he went to River Valley High School in Spring Green, which is a conference rival of my high school alma mater.

Jeter is not going anywhere anytime soon. His family loves the Milwaukee area and they going to have child number 3 in the November.

Jeter's not going. Same reason he didn't take Bradley job - the potential for better job in the future is much greater if he stays.

With Eichorst getting the AD job, Jeter will be interviewed. They know eachother very, very well. If offered, I would be shocked if Jeter turns Miami down.

I'm not worried about it either way. Rob has to do what's best for him and his family. As with 95% of all coaches, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.
With the exception of a very few contrarians we'd all prefer he stays. But he has put our program in a better position to sustain long term success than it was in when he took it over.

I would be shocked if Miami finds their head coach before SEVERAL potential candidates turn the position down. There is a reason their old coach got a better job elsewhere after making the NCAA tournament only once in 7-8 years. Great football job, and a horrible basketball job. Then again money talks...

Tommy Amaker turned down the position to remain with Harvard per Jeff Goodman of FOX Sports. In other words, his wife made him stay with her at Harvard.

If the job is offered to UAB's Mike Davis, he will take the job.
