I don't put much stock in all the bracketology predictions. Outside of the obvious number 1 seeds, they are wrong far more often than they are right. ESPN's Joe Lunardi is 98% correct every year. His projections seconds before the selection process may be pretty accurate, who's aren't, but his projections before the "big 6" conferences play their tournys are so so. His current bracket will have plenty of tweaking yet to come.

His current bracket will have plenty of tweaking yet to come. there are 37 at larges...previously 34 before this year. Figure that there are at least 25, more like 30 teams that you know for sure will get an at large...that already 80 some %....the 98% stat is nice, but anyone can do it

Well jimmy dykes is saying during the whole broadcast of the VCU ODU that they are done unless they win. They lost and now Dykes is saying that michigan and gonzaga can breathe easy since VCU won't "steal a bid" What is going on here with VCU? Rpi top 50 with wins @wichita st @odu @ucla and just got done beating george mason. Is the CAA not allowed 3 bids? I don't get why they are dead in the water for everyone and no one has them on the bubble. Much better resume than ALL of the teams dykes said won't get their bid stolen

Yes he is pretty good at guessing who will get in. Not so much on predicting where they will be seeded. If I remember correctly, in our last appearance he had us at 13th. We were an 11.

Due to some upsets in conference tourney's we have moved up in Lunardi's bracket today.
We are now a #14 against #3 San Diego St. in Tucson.

Gotta win tonight.
The rest will take care of itself.

Lunardi did say on SportsCenter that this is the big game for bubble teams...Oh, and I had a dream last night that we were rushing the court and I was clotheslined by either Haggerty or Meir...Hope at least the court rushing part comes true...

Do you folks realize that there's one bubble team rooting for the Panthers tonight, as a win would significantly bolster its resume?
Can you name the team?

Marquette?
But wouldn't they want us to lose? Thus allowing Butler to secure an auto bid and not take an at-large.

Win tonight and Marquette just got another NCAA tourney team win -- on the road. Even if we don't win we will still be considered a "good win" for them in a season when they are living on the ragged edge of the bubble. Replace their game against us with the obvious alternative that they would have played if not for the series against us -- another thrilling home game against The Convent of the Disabled Sisters -- and they are almost certainly on the wrong side of the bubble and slipping fast.
So if you ever hear or read another Marquette fan complaining about how terrible it is that they play Milwaukee, the appropriate response will be to laugh hysterically and then say "You're welcome."

Save this for next season when the Golden Trolls tell us we're no better than Mississippi Valley State or Centenary.
