And if the SEC has the 2nd most teams in the tourny it will be a crock. They deserve 3 teams, maybe 4 at the most. I'm not a SEC fan, but Kentucky, Florida, Vandy, Tenn should be locks. I have no problem with Alabama and UGA.

I don't like Utah State. Many have said if the Aggies don't win the WAC, they will still get an at-large bid. Utah State has only ONE win versus the RPI top 100

Surprise, surprise, the high-major fan thinks the mid-major should be out and marginal high-majors from the marginal high-major conference should be in.
You're talking about a team with literally THREE games against the Top 100 - not even wins or losses, but total games. How can you judge them when they've won one of three games against the top 50 that they've played?
Their RPI is TWENTY.

Utah St. is punished because no one will play them at their place, an on campus venue every panther fan should feel very jealous of. The WAC also proved a little bit during the bracketbusters that they aren't as bad as everyone thought.
Would I put Alabama or Georgia in instead of Utah St. ? No, no contest. The bottom half of the SEC would fit in well with the WAC. Bama and Georgia didn't exactly raise hell out of conference either, and they have the luxury of playing in a conference that guarantees them home games with some top programs.
I like Tennessee, Bruce Pearl, Pancratz ect, and give them a lot of credit for playing a hard schedule and playing some tough mid-majors, but if they end up with 12 or 13 losses and bottom out early in the SEC tourny, then that may be a bridge too far for me as well.

USU lost by six AT BYU and has one blowout loss, at Georgetown early in the year. Only bad loss is a eight-point road loss at Idaho.

Now you are tagging me as the high-major fan because I don't think Utah State shouldn't be in the dance if they don't win the WAC. Utah State could play better teams. There head coach only will take a H/H series. Panthers have 4 wins versus the RPI top 100. 3 more than Utah State. RPI is just a tool they use.

RPI isn't perfect, but it does reward teams that have tougher schedules.
per InsideRPI USU-24 UGa-42 Bama-t66
USU gets in over either the Tide or the Dawgs if the big dance cares more about quality of games than revenue generated.

Lunardi having us at 15 won't stand. There will be quite a few conferecne tourney upsets... Always is. We have the homecourt, so lets use it to our advantage! Just a a great run to end the year!!!

Other conference tourney upsets is not why "us at a 15 won't stand" Milwaukee is currently a 15 seed TODAY because it's RPI is #98 TODAY. And the #98 team in the country TODAY equates to a 15 seed on the S-Curve. But you are correct, Milwaukee as a 15 won't stand because for us to even make the dance, we'd need to win 2 more games. Games that will possibly and likely be against a Top 75 and a Top 50 team. Games that will put our RPI in the 70's or possibly 60's IF all the higher RPI teams win in each HL tourney round. That puts us in line for a 13 seed. Not a 15.

FYI, as of this morning there are currently 12 national "bracketology" sites, including Lunardi's ESPN one, that show Milwaukee in them.
Three have us as a 13 Six have us at 14 Three have us at 15
They all have different "rules". Some use Lunardi's "where things stand today if it was Selection Sunday" method, while some (likely the 13 seeds and possibly some 14 seeds) use the "predictor" method.

A game vs. Notre Dame in Chicago would be very interesting.... I was looking at that too. Purdue and Wisconsin are also exciting possibilities.
