I do not want a big ten team for us, they are physical and would over power us. I would love a team that is more of a jump shooting team, I think we could have a shot against a team like that.

Might I suggest we try to win before predicting who we'll play in the NCAA tournament? I know it's fun to speculate, but we have a long 80 minutes left before we can worry about Notre Dame or any other 1st round matchup...

Agree completely, JG. But there was massive speculation before we won the regular season crown and it didn't hurt anything. Speculation is the reason this board exists.

I love speculation as much, if not more than the next guy. I just don't want to get caught counting our chickens if you know what I mean....

Butler dropped a line by beating Loyola.

Notre Dame brings me back to 2003. I was at the RCA Dome. Heartbreaking!

A game vs. Notre Dame in Chicago would be very interesting.... I was looking at that too. Purdue and Wisconsin are also exciting possibilities. Can't play UW til the sweet 16

Meanwhile, Lunardi keeps us at 15 -- against Notre Dame! -- in Chicago!

NCAA rules. Rematches can't occur until the third round.

They have Butler playing Xavier. They already played them this year let alone playing them the first round of the Big D.

I'm hoping that it won't come to this... but if for some reason we don't win the HL tourney and end up going to the NIT, how is it determined what teams get a home game?

I'm hoping that it won't come to this... but if for some reason we don't win the HL tourney and end up going to the NIT, how is it determined what teams get a home game? My wife worked at the MU ticket office, and she said they decide based on which team has the best facilities. If it's two big teams, then it's based on record and so on. It isn't very scientific, basically. But it sounds like UWM likely wouldn't host any games. By the way, she despised working for the ticket office during MU's NIT runs.
