W
Great game. Well played by both sides. Nice strategy by Jeter at the end.
- I really don't know how you can complain about free throw shooting when your team only misses 5 all night.
- Sometimes when you are playing off a pick, which way you go around that pick, is determined by where the guy guarding the man setting the pick plays you.
- UNI may have lost a few good players from last year, but that is a good MVC team. They will finish near the top of their conference.
- Kelm. I said he would be 1st team as a Senior, I might change that to when he's a Junior. He does not play like a freshman.

I'm glad to see that Rob Jeter is playing his best players. You can fill in the blanks who didn't play that I said shouldn't play.

I haven't been this excited about a Panther win in several seasons. This was an outstanding game.
The way the Panthers bent but didn't break, even after Hill fouled out was especially impressive. That shows real toughness.
Tone made two unbelievable shots, a three he made as he was falling down, and the game winner. His presence was felt throughout the game.
Hill was a beast. Double teamed by two taller defenders he still managed to lead us in scoring. Boga was everywhere. Kelm again showed why Panther fans are so excited to him here. Williams did a great job of running the offense.
Best of all, we didn't win because UNI had an off night. T hey played well on both sides of the court. They were simply out coached and out played by our Milwaukee Panthers.

Good win. Good time. Glad I went.
I want to see Ja'Rob do well but it seems as if he is pressing. He looks like he's trying to justify his time on the court and he's rushing. I hope he doesn't get frustrated by his playing time.
Go Panthers!

This game shows the potential this team has. We got a great win in a game in which I thought we didn't play as well as we could have in the second half.
After the intersquad scrimmage I didn't make any predictions or state any expectations. I said do not be surprised if this team is playing on March 8th. I still believe this. The talent and coaching are there. Just need to clean things up a bit to get there, which I believe will happen. Go Panthers!

Ja'Rob almost gave me a heart attach last night. He was throwing up plain ole garbage. It was like he went in there to get as many shots in to lift up his average ppg. I was really disappointed on his play. Jeter's discipline on defense was evident yesterday. I can't remember the last time I saw this team play defense as hard as they did last night. It reminded me of the glory days. The more this team "W"ins the more they will believe they can beat people. Kudos to Jeter and most importantly the guys on the court. It was also nice to see the bench support the team even though they saw no p.t.
Go Panthers!!!

Forgot to give shot out to Boga. His play reminds me a lot of Tigert in that his hussles on both ends of the court. He was everywhere. He did pick up several tacky calls, but he was always aggressive on defense and took the ball to the hole on offense. I'm so glad to see this team doesn't live of the TTTTTHHHHRRRREEEEE ball like we did the last several years. It feels good to be able to compete with height and not feel like the smallest team on the court.

Actually, both our point guards put up some unfortunate shots. One of the impressive things about the win for me was that we did it with less than stellar play at the point. Kaylon and Ja'Rob both need to run the team better and make better decisions, and I'm sure they know it. I'm still a big believer in both of them. They'll get better.
And Lonnie? He's just a baller. Good things often happen when Lonnie is on the court.

Great game, fun to watch. Many there had tickets with the Gold Pack plan. A game like that versus a sweet 16 team, will make people come back for more. Things can sure change in one week. 0-2 to 3 wins in a row. That's why its a good rule of thumb to give it a few weeks before starting the fire Rob Jeter thread. ;D

I talked up Lonnie way to much as the next great panther before he started playing to this level, now I'll just sit back and watch the magic. That late ticky tack call on him to give UNI free throws with less than a minute would have made me rage. Lonnie was pissed but he got over it quick and remained focused. I get the feeling from Lonnie that he is a leader now, and very well could be the primary leader of this team in years to come.

I was extremely impressed with the student turn-out and hope those folks will come back next Tuesday...and BRING THEIR FRIENDS!!! There have been over 400 student vouchers given away for the Western Michigan game tuesday at the Klotsche and I believe numbers were reachign 600 student vouchers for the Marquette game Saturday. As well a few guys and I will be working with the AD this week before break starts to get more vouchers given away to students.

Bill Johnson stated on his post game show that the clock started late on NI's inbound play with 2.4 seconds left. Who fell asleep at the switch? That just can't happen.
Any truth to the rumors that Greg Jennings will be in attendance on Tues?
