what do we think we will get attendance wise, given that we are again competing with the Bucks for the game tomorrow.....seems like this is an every game thing at times.....

4,500. Would be more if we had an on campus arena, but as mentioned the parking will deter someone on the fence from coming. Not to mention the Bucks.
I just hope its enough in the crowd, and especially the student section, to will the panthers to victory.

The student section is always the major concern. But the first game generally brings a decent amount of kids, so who knows.

This game was part of one 4-pack, so it could be a decent turn out.

Northern Iowa's roster. Only three players are 6'8" or taller. UWM has five, not counting Quinton. One of those UNI players, Jake Koch, hails from Ashwaubenon. He's also their biggest post threat.

Why should I expect a bigger crowd if the game was held at an on campus arena. At both exhibition games the student section numbered about 50 to 75 fans. I know they were only exhibition games...but "Come On Man!!!!" I'm tired of hearing this garbage about student attendance. Bruce Pearl could probably attract more students to his house for a BBQ than an on site arena could for Panther games. Prove me wrong by having more than a handful of students at the Western Michigan game next Tuesday.

That's because Bruce Pearl held prep rallies. Real ones, in the dorms.

The reason its hard to get students to games is because other students tell incoming freshmen that our team sucks and its not worth watching. Also, the AD needs to do a better job of promoting that all sporting events at UWM are free!!! I have talked to so many incoming kids and students who have been here for 2-3 years that dont even know admission for students is free. The whole text "POUNCE" idea is a great idea just needs to be marketed more. Prep rallies are huge as well. For the first home opener i think we should of had one. Another thing that will decrease student section attendance this weekend, opening gun deer hunting. I believe we should get a good turnout Tuesday night at the Klotsche. I have been talking to everyone i know and trying to get them to games and their friends. its retro night and its on campus. 2 great games at home with UNI and WMU before MU plays at the Cell. Oh lets do it

Students were scattered all over at the exhibition games. They were not restricted to the actual "student section".

Students were scattered all over at the exhibition games. They were not restricted to the actual "student section". This is another problem. Getting students to actually sit by the students! Happens at soccer games alot. It is easier for students to all sit together though at the Cell because it is somewhat layed out where at the Klotsche its hard to tell unless you know.
