Student section Grade: F- Horrid attendance, too quiet. ouch. i'll give u the attendance part but we did the best we could. we can only do so much to get ppl involved. what would help is if we could get ppl a few stands back to help build up chants instead of relying on everyone who's in the front to do all the work. overall a decent game but good lord was that lineup of hanson, young, massiah and i can't remember the other two just terrible in the second half. young having a bad game shouldn't even be considered an understatement considering how much he screwed up and at what point in the game. at least we know next time that we gotta cover Sheets and Graves like white on rice since they are the primary threats. thank god our FTs were back to their level tonight b/c we needed every single one of them.

Maybe next year those of us "older" Krazies can work out something and sit together in the same section to get things going among the non-students.
I thought the Students did what they could tonight but the numbers weren't there and they should have been. I can't believe that out of all the students living in the Milwaukee area there are so few BB fans.
At any rate it might be a good idea to pick a section for our tickets next year and get things going in the other parts of the arena

Does every Butler fan have a sandy ass vagina?
And apparently...Milwaukee is just classless.
But that Indiana, what with all their KKK towns is peachy keen.

Trashing an announcer is one thing, but to group Butler fans with the KKK is going toooooo far! Come on now, let's keep it at least a little clean. There is a difference between rival's talking trash and the hint that all Butler fans would be associated with the KKK.

And you guys weren't just trashing the announcer.
Did someone not type something about how classless Milwaukee and UWM are?If so,I stand by my comments.
And if not,you guys still live in Indiana.And I didn't make a Butler-KKK association.
But...if the shoe fits...

We're in on most off the chants, and that includes myself and my DAD (still a student at heart!). We're there with you. Maybe a back and forth chant could help.

There are eight of us that sit in Section 309. The student section was weak last night. Out of all the games we've been to, this is the first game where we were talking about going back into the student section to make some noise.

206, 309. 324. 325. That's the point. We're scattered. It's hard to get enough seats in the 200 section because it's mostly sold out.
PS The Butler Fans shouldn't be associated with the KKK but a couple of their players were thuggish out there last night. And yes Tiggert was thrown to the floor and Johnson had every right to call it that way.

The student interest here is still just at the casual level and it will take time to change that. The student section was bigger last night than it has been the past few years for this time of year. I do not know why people expect a suddend change. I agree with current students of over 27,000 it should be easy to get at least 2000 students there, but if the team keeps winning it will happen. And once the semester starts again the student turnout will be there. I also felt that last night was the loudest the cell has been all year it helped that there was a competitve game down the strech for once for the fans to get excited about.
I admit I am not the most vocal student but I do my part. Also, when students give others a hard time for not standing the whole game or cheering the entire game, it makes them more angry than willing to take part and may lead to them not coming back. Just be happy for now that there is a butt in the seat because a warm body is better than an empty seat.

I'm not associating all of them with the KKK...but some of them should definitely watch out about who and what they call classless. But at the same time,Knightstown Indiana is a real place. And stuff like this: " A degree from UWM is the equivalent of a hunting liscense."

And stuff like this: " A degree from UWM is the equivalent of a hunting liscense." Ah, because a degree from a tier 3 or 4 private university at 25+k a year is equivalent to a degree from say Harvard? Give me a break. While I realize that UWM doesnt have a true rep. for an outstanding education, our university has many, many excellent programs to offer potential students. I constantly read about how Butler fans complain of being in the Horizon League. They "pay too much for their education to be in such a league" and so on... This represents a "classeless bunch" in every sense of the phrase. If you ask me, they are being taken. I paid less in four years for my education than they'll pay in one year. I found a job in banking in one of the toughest, yet most reputable markets in the country. I also live 1/2 a blcok away from a doctor who attended UWM as an undergrad. I've also encountered several other UWM grads out here and they are making quite a living for themselves. With that being said, if anyone is interested in moving to California and you need advice, would like to find a great internship or possible job opportunity, do not hesitate to contact me. I'll do anything I can for another "Hunter's License" holder.
