The response from the Journal is similar to just about every other employee gives when you dare to criticize their articles. I wrote them about a concert review that I thought was extremely unfair to the performer and the music editor basically ripped me calling me a hypcrite for being harsh on their reporters but not letting their reporters be harsh on performers. Um....sorry I am not a journalist and your writers supposedly are.
For all I care, that paper can go out of business. It is complete crap.

If Gametracker is any indication, w00t!
UWM 64, Butler 59.
Butler's run in the second half was frightening, but it seems we held through the assault of fouls in the end.
Like was said after the CSU game: a win's a win. However, I feel slightly more comfortable with a nailbiter tonight compared to games against other Horizon teams. (Empahsis on slightly here)

A lot of complaining about the internet video announcer over at the Butler board. To be honest, I was not very impressed with the announcing either. Was this the regular Milwaukee AM radio guy?

Great game... great win...
I tell you what, I honestly don't think we would've won this game last year. Butler played terrific on both sides of the ball and we grinded it out.
The crowd was awesome, I'm proud of everybody who was there. BUT...COME ON STUDENTS! These are league games, get your butts back here!

If you are interested in a bus to the Butler game, email the athletic department. Right now I think we only have 20 interested. The game is not on TV. Lets get as many people from the discussion board to go as possible. Email the department and state your interest!

F-? come on, I thought for the limited amount of fans, they deserve a C+. I mean, this was the loudest crowd of the season so far. They even did the stand up chant, which I'll admit did get me and others in 206 to stand up. I give the students that were there a lot of credit. Face it, most of the students at this university are home on break, not much they can do. Good game. I had complete confidence the entire time that we would win. Glad to see we can make the free throws down the stretch. |

Most of the students are NOT home on break. There are 26,000 students at UWM and probably 20,000 plus LIVE in the Milwaukee area. I'm visiting a friend in Madison and we drove to Milwaukee for the game and then back to Madison.
It's hard for me understand how UWM students who are college BB fans can't drive across town to see them for free.
Maybe more needs to be done to promote the free admission policy on campus.
