Wow. Not a very professional response. Maybe you should respond back with:
"I'm sure response dripping in sarcasm must very appreciated by your readers. The JS's plummeting circulation must be a testament to that."

Boy, old Greg didn't seem the least bit defensive about your suggestion. Did he?

as long as we're sharing... here are my correspondences in order:
In you're daywatch column you failed to mention UWM's basketball game against Butler (7pm at the Cell). It also happens to be a pretty good rivalry game. I hope you find time to include it so more people are made aware.
-Chris
Thank you.
Please go back and read FirstWatch from yesterday, where the UWM men's AND women's teams are included.
FirstWatch is not a calendar of events, nor is it the sports page, so it should not be confused with either. It is a compilation of some, emphasis on SOME, things that are coming up in the news today.
Greg Borowski City Hall reporter
reply: I confused FirstWatch with neither the sports page nor a calendar of events. You specifically mentioned the renewal of SOME college bball rivalries this coming weekend. UWM vs. Butler happens to be a rivalry game being played at home. Why it's selectively omitted I can only speculate. Thank you for mentioning their away game yesterday though.
Sincerely,
-Chris
Thank you for reading.
Sometimes "selectively omitted" is actually a case of "not being aware of the game."
Save your sanctimony.

That's a pretty sucky answer from the guy. All he had to say was that he includes all the games he can and is sorry he didn't know about this one, rather than getting into a sort of email shouting match.

Ok, back to the game. i've been looking up Butler's team and here's a few things to point out. - we have the height advantage. their 3 tallest players are all 6'7". they've been outrebounded by an average of 26-31 each game. their best rebounder is Crone (6-6 225) who averages 4.8/game. - on offense they have 4 guys who average at least 10 ppg: Polk 16.2, Graves 13.6, Crone 12.1 and Horan 10. the team shoots 38.9% from the 3 w/ Horan being their best shooter at 43.9% however Marcus Nellems (who averages about 10 mins/game) seems to rely heavily on 3s as he's 7-11 from the 3 and his total FG-FGA is 9-18. they shoot 48% as a team for FGs w/ Polk and Graves shooting combined almost 300 FGAs. their two best shooters are Polk and Crone shoot 56.7% and 52.5% respectively. they avg. 70 ppg and have allowed 60 ppg. they also have a +1.4 assist/TO ratio. - on defensive, they steal a lot of balls. in fact only 8 less than us (97-89), average close to 7/game and have a +5.5 TO margin. Crone and Graves are the top threats as they have 20 & 19 respectively. Polk has 11 of the team's 21 blocks, the next guy is Ligon (5) who avg. 14 mins/game but have been out-blocked this season 33-21. - FTs: they shoot 72% as a team. Polk has the most FT attempts on the season w/ 65 but shoots 61%. Other than that their other starters shoot quite well. Graves is 78.3%, Crone is 75%, Horan is 100% (12-12), and Sheets is 88.9% (8-9). Other than that Julian Betko, an Auburn transfer averaging ~20 mins./game is 80% from the line. - The only other stat i could find of interest is that Crone averages 4 fouls/game which could bode well for us if we can get to him early. Here are the links to their roster and stats if anyone else cares to mention anything else. butlersports.collegesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/butl-m-baskbl-mtt.htmlhorizonleague.collegesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/2005-2006/bu.html#team.ind

Thats a mighty tough bet...We are playing on one days rest at home against a very good team
Hopefully we maintain the focus we had at UIC and come out and defend our home court and cover that spread..Thats a tough bet though IMO

One final thing about JS Online. There's a few things they need to fix that we should e-mail them about. The front page "Happening Now, Happening Later" has frequently omitted our games. Did anyone see when the UConn vs MU game was first listed there, it had UConn vs UWM? Was that good or bad? Do we friends at Journal Interactive? Must have just been a slip up. They seemed to change that pretty quick. Another thing, the banner link for 'UWM' points to the general college page and not the dedicated UWM page below that. The left hand side 'Panthers' link was wrong for a while and they fixed that. Also, we should have our own UWM left hand side bar on our page, not that red/while colleges one. Let's all suggest this stuff to come up to par with the other programs and sports. The other thing that I think we need to do is e-mail the radio sports guys at TMJ to make sure they mention our games. We get omitted too freqently.

Wow, that guy is a dick.
He's not a sports writer either, so he has some wiggle room to f**k up.
It seems that Holic was right. We need to come out and stop Crone dead. Maybe everyone pays too much attention to Graves, i.e. too much attention on Tucker, so AT and Davis kill.

I am a season ticket holder and have the card redeemable for the 4 tickets to tonight's game etc. I figured I would get the tickets today at the ticket office, but I called and the ticket office was closed. Does anyone have any idea if I can redeem those at the Cell? I know the Cell deals with Ticketmaster, but I know UWM has those tables on the sides of the entrance for players and family. Would they possibly redeem those there? Or if anyone on this site works for the ticket office and has a better idea, please let me know. Thanks.

Not sure. I've redeemed a pair of vouchers over the last few days. My guess is that the surefire bet (as you no doubt realize) would be to have redeemed them at the ticket office. Of course, there's always Loyola (another big game).
