I heard on WSSP that they talked to Favre's brother, Scott and he confirmed it. I also heard on WKHL this morning that someone in the Packer's organization hit the wrong button and posted it on their web site. They took it down after a few minutes but not before one of their listeners made a screen capture and sent it to the station.
I guess it looks pretty real :-(

I can't say I'm suprised if it's true.
He looked like a cold old man in those last two games.
Time to go buy your Aaron Rodgers jersey.

Did you hear...
They are posting cops on all bridges in the state to watch for jumpers.
Clinics are offering free counseling to those who need it.
The State Government is already thinking of giving all government employees the day off tomorrow to morn the loss of Favre.

Reports from Michael Clayton via Buss Cook are that Favre was pissed that thew Packers did nothing in free agency AGAIN this year.
Thanks Slingblade. We didn't need any free agents to get better.
Trade your top free agent for a bag of footballs. Don't pursue Michael Turner. Don't pursue Stallworth. Don't make an effort for Moss. Don't trade for Jared Allen.
Just sit there and do nothing, while our cap space reaches into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Only you know that free agency is a myth and doesn't work. Everyone else is stupid. Including the Pats. You are the smartest man in the room, the city, the state, the NFL and the world.
Then trade all your first and second round picks for a slew of 6th rounders and draft more fat guys who were hurt last year and didn't play.
Someone stop him before he kills again.

And bars, taverns and pubs state-wide are bracing for an increase in business and overall drunken depression.

Com'on hawk.
I'm convinced that even if the Packers win the Superbowl under TT, you will still find something to rip on him for.
What do they need with more receivers? They have a good group of young receivers right now. Why would you want to add Moss to that, having him teach these kids the thug mentality? No way. I don't care what Moss's stats have been over his career, I don't want him on the Packers messing with Jennings or Jones.

Don't make an effort for Moss. Actually, my dad, who lives in Green Bay, informed me last night that the Packers were actually one step away from landing Moss. They had offerred him the $10 million/year for 3 years. Moss was willing to come to Green Bay. All that was left was a guarantee from the Packers that Favre would play two more years. Obviously, that didn't work out as planned. My dad got this from the AP in GB.

If you haven't figured this out yet, Ted Thompson DOESN'T OVERSPEND ON FREE AGENTS!

All those receivers did nothing for the Patriots last year. Having 4 #1/#2 caliber recivers on the field at the same time is a bad thing. The Packers would have had at least as good a defense, at least as good a passing game, and a better running game as the 07 Pats with Moss in 08. Who needs that??? Certainly not Slingblade!!! Don't question him, EVER. Free agency is for FOOLS!!!! Real men use the 6th round!!!!!! There is exactly 0% chance that a Ted Thomspon led Packers team will win the Superbowl with Aaron "China Doll" Rodgers and a bunch of first round fat cripples.
