“Triggered.” 🤣🤣
Between your truly ridiculous first post and your use of that word we already know everything about you, so don’t sweat not telling us your real name.
And don’t take the emojis personally. We’re not laughing with you. We’re laughing at you.
Now get back out there and talent develop some of those middle schoolers. If only those dumb college coaches would just listen to you!

If only those dumb college coaches would just listen to you! You literally had a meltdown. I'll forgive you, because you truly don't know what you don't know. When you literally have zero knowledge of the local youth basketball scene whatsoever you just don't know what you don't know. You can mock me all you want, but every semi-local guy UWM has offered a scholarship to for years going back (and some for the future) has worked within the sphere I'm talking of or play AAU with guys who are trained there. I'm not talking about some streetball AAU creep, talking about someone who has literally developed NBA players and high major guys.

Guys I don't need to be defended, especially against the chicken littles like Shadow of Bruce or BBFran who get triggered and go ballistic because I brought up the past mistakes of this program when talking about the exact things to avoid going forward. We have 15 years of dog crap between RJ and PBS to look at as a playbook of what to not do. Bringing stuff up that happened is not necessarily dwelling on the past and absolutely doesn't merit a hilarious meltdown from ignorant posters.
"No OnE kNoWs WhO yOu ArE yOu HaVe No CrEdIbIlItY"
And guess what, I don't know who you are nor do I particularly care but I will say you don't come across as remotely knowledgeable about the game of basketball whatsoever in your posts going back years, just an ardent supporter of the program. Appreciate the fervent fandom, the program needs all it can get.
I don't give a rat's ass who you are or what you think of my basketball knowledge, but I highly doubt someone that made their first post last night has studied years of my posts. If you have, you need a better hobby.

Heard today McCollum was in town today and has other/better offers, but is still interested in Milwaukee I'd be curious to know the other/better offers. I think his best spot is a mid-major in the Midwest, since that's where all of his coaching and most of his recruiting have occurred. Going by that, there aren't really too many mid-major jobs open right now in the Midwest. South Dakota and Omaha have filled their jobs.

If he does come here, nothing will be announced until his season is done regardless so we’re stuck in a holding pattern.

I believe we're the only school he's been publicly linked to this cycle. I would agree that it seems most likely he would stay in the Midwest. The only other jobs in the Midwest where it seems like he could realistically be a candidate are Ball State, Western Michigan, and possibly Tulsa. It looks like Ball State was paying their coach 336k and WMU 220k. Tulsa was paying Frank Haith 1.3 mil, so I'm not sure they would even consider the D2 route.

Used to know the head athletic trainer when Jeter was coach and all he would talk about was how it was "impossible" to recruit to UWM because AAU teams wouldn't even allow UWM into gyms. I never heard this and I heard plenty of things people here would consider to be excuses (including some things I would consider to be excuses from Jeter's staff). It really doesn't make any sense. Are we talking about AAU practices? Because literally anyone could watch just about any AAU game. Every time I'd hear complaints it would be about how UWM wouldn't allow X player to be recruited because of grades even though W player had been allowed to get a scholarship under Pearl when W was clearly further behind than X was academically. That happened maybe 2-3 times where it was shared with me. One of those players would go on to become All-Horizon League at a different school. Anyone else hear the rumor that Ben McCollum was on campus today? I was told by a very solid source he was on campus last week as well. So, this would mean a second interview! I had heard last week was a Zoom call. Seriously, if AB can swing Ben McCollum into this job, then I'm happy to eat crow. Where is your cell phone when you need it. I would love to see McCollum as the next coach. Even if he moves elsewhere there can be a standard set. Butler did it for years hiring in house coaches for the most part. I choose to remain positive and look forward to next season. New coaches, new uniforms, new players! This idea some people have that we should get a coach who will win and stay here forever is fantasy. Marquette is a program in a far better place than we are (not physically, East Side >>>>>>> West Town), but there's no guarantee they don't lose Shaka Smart if the program starts winning a bunch. We should count our lucky stars if we get a guy who flips the program around and gets a better job in 4-5 years. It will mean he succeeded in his role. The only thing I want is for that coach to not stack classes so we have 1-2 years to help him get that better job and then he gets it and we're essentially starting over like in 2006-07. I would take a guy who recruits evenly, wins and hands it off to his top assistant over another class-stacker any day. Sustained success is what we want here. Look at Ben McCollum's record. He's that guy. Lately it seems like the message to new people on the board is “Welcome to the board. If you don’t agree with everything we say, you’re a horrible person who shouldn’t be allowed to be a Panther fan.” It’s.. not very welcoming. And this whole idea of needing to give your full name to be seen as legitimate on the board… if you’re on the board for the first time and your first post is given an unwelcoming (or even bullying) response, why would they feel comfortable sharing that information where they’re not welcomed? I would add to that the occasional "who are you to dare come here and say such a thing, someone from the athletic department or a player's mother?" paranoia. I would counter with the fact that in 2016, AB's cronies were absolutely signing up on this board and the old PantherU board and attempting to make it look as though most people weren't pissed at how AB handled the transition. You don't remember all the random new accounts with generic "go Panthers" names who kept dragging the argument back to Jeter's Horizon League standing finishes when everyone who was an established poster had moved on to "who is the next coach?" and "holy sh*t how poorly was this firing handled?" On the PantherU board, we had access to IP addresses. One person posed as a fan of Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. That person contacted me privately and tried to get me to report on PantherU that we had actually hired Tom Billeter and that if I reported it I'd have a massive scoop. That person turned out to live at an address of a person who was clearly inside AB's inner circle. Like it took me 10 seconds of research to find that person's many lengthy social media connections to AB. I didn't out the person by name, as much as I really wanted to. Instead I just publicly mocked that person's laughable attempt to try and discredit me personally by using their chosen screen name. So I don't think it's paranoia on the part of posters like Spirit of Bruce to be wary of newcomers. I also don't think we need to see people's social security cards, but I'm going to give JG Panthers' opinion a lot more weight than I do for someone like MattG who signed up on Wednesday. That's not because I know JG, it's because he's been a member of the community for a very long time and that To be clear, I'm not accusing MattG or anyone of being a 'spy' at this point. I actually don't think it matters much. I welcome everyone to the board under the social contract that we're all here for the benefit of the Milwaukee Panthers, and with the understanding that hard opinions may not carry the weight you want them to when you're a Johnny-come-lately.

Wow Jimmy, that sounds like some good PAnon material!
One of the posters you referenced requests we stop relitigating the past. Maybe it's time to let the postings from six years ago go. Paranoia, whether well founded or not, is still paranoia. This is only a message board. We all have biases. Some are based on sound logic and others stem from ignorance. I don't think we need to worry about someone new coming on here to somehow magically control our mindset. We are smart enough to consider the merits of each individual comment.

Missouri won't hire him. They tired the Division II route with Kim Anderson and it failed miserably. I don't think they could convince fans that going the Division II route again is the right move.
