I gotta give props to the student on the microphone last night. He got the students to at least make some noise. I was concerned early when the student section didnt even stand for introductions. They got better as the game progressed mostly because of him and the better 2nd half play. They might want to rethink the student vip area if the student attendance stays consistent. Get them closer to the floor. Also, the scoreboard graphics stunk. Not a fan of the stats being on the rounded edge of the jumbotron. There has to be a better way. Yes, we are making some adjustments to the MKE Party Deck - the student VIP area - that you mention for upcoming games. Working to make it more accessible for students. Realized what we had the first two games wasn't as functional as we had hoped. |

Thanks for taking the feedback. Hopefully we get a similar student section for most games moving forward.

I was in the first row and let me say, it doesn't help when the cheerleaders aren't starting chants until late in the shot clock and when half of the students don't care to get into the game, they are just there to say they went. To each his own. All I know is we were trying to get the people behind us rowdy and the second half run really did help. Also, yes, the guy with the mic was doing a good job. We just need people to be LOUDER and more enthusiastic. My buddies and I will be trying our best to get that going this year |

I know Jimmy and DunneDeal were former heads of the student section. Maybe they could give some advice. I'm sure it can be coordinated with the right leaders which it sounds like you are becoming one.

Always open to help/advice... there were times (such as the introductions) I wasn't exactly sure if we should stand or sit since it's been 2 years since I've been able to be at a home game. Also along the lines of coordinating, seems like the best bet is to just start doing something (chants, turn away from the court when the away team is announced) and hope others follow suit. |
