Like I said after the first half of the North Dakota game, the good news is if PBJ keeps playing like he has in this first half, he just may come back next year.

When they break the press they need to drive and push it right to the basket. This hesitating at 3pt arc is not working.

Not sure why all mid majors dont play like EKU. Shooting 3s and pressing seems to be a good recipe. Quite familiar.

Absolutely embarrassing. PBJ is on my sh*t list until he remembers he's the best player on the court by far and plays like it. How in the f*** we can't break a simple press blows my mind, coaching/veteran leaders are failing there. I've said it for pretty much every game since Baldwin has been here, but I will never understand how our guys just refuse to put a body into someone and rebound. Either way, this performance so far tonight is how you ensure another decent crowd like this never shows up again.

After watching EKU in the first half, I cannot help but reminisce about the BP era at MKE. Sorry for even bringing it up, but that is my primary thought at the moment. I love the way they play.

Being without J2 and Simms hasnt been the best situation either. Browning and Sinani are to inexperienced against a team that pressures like this.
Hopefully they can figure it out in the 2nd half. It's too bad, the crowd is pretty big.

Milwaukee needs to be coached on defensive rebounding. They need to box out, eat space and then rebound. This team collectively just wants to play the ball.

Why would you schedule this team? I mean in fairness, we whine when they schedule bad teams too. I LOVE scheduling EKU, it's good to play solid mid-major programs in non-con. I just wish they didn't schedule them in the first real home game, should of saved that for a WIU or WMU type. |
