Honestly, I think masks should be required in health care settings on a permanent basis until you're in a private room, regardless of what happens with Covid.

When I travelled to China over 10 years ago I was surprised by the number of Asians who wore masks in airports and on planes. I thought at the time that it was being overly cautious and kind of silly.
Today, I plan on being one of those mask wearers in airports and especially on planes for the rest of my life. Several times in the past my travel companions and\or I would experience cold-like symptoms after flying. The experience over the past year has proven wearing masks are effective in preventing communicable diseases. The referenced Asians were right several years ago and the rest of us were the silly ones.

The masks doesn't stop you from getting sick, it prevents you from spreading crap.

The masks doesn't stop you from getting sick, it prevents you from spreading crap. What he's saying is if everyone continues to wear masks, it will mitigate the spread of sickness. He's going to continue wearing a mask just in case he's carrying something that will get someone else sick.

The masks doesn't stop you from getting sick, it prevents you from spreading crap. This is objectively wrong. Wearing a mask absolutely reduces your risk of contracting an airborne respiratory illness. Whoever told you it didn’t was lying or ignorant. At the same time, BPU’s comment is also exactly right. The more people who mask in congested settings, the safer everyone will be. I’m fully vaxxed and at little risk now of contracting covid. I still mask in all indoor settings and will continue to do so until vaccination rates get much higher. It’s not for me — it’s for the community.

Lol. Well, it really doesn't. Number is small if any.. Guess what setting and such as well might be a factor. Yet, I wasn't talking about a congested settings. Another factor is what type of masks we are talking about, like N95's or maybe a Level 3. Funny hearing buzz words to try make to make a case like lying or ignorant. Not a surprise. Yet, if one wants to wear it. Great. Get it all over you. Do what one needs to do. Follow the science, aina?

Yet, I wasn't talking about a congested settings. We were talking about buses, airplanes, trains...what are these if not 'congested?'

Yet, I wasn't talking about a congested settings. We were talking about buses, airplanes, trains...what are these if not 'congested?' Like you quoted me, I wasn't talking about congested areas. We seem to have a message board disconnect on the topic. Let's move on. This is becoming stupid.
