I’ll be as excited as anyone to watch the games. Until, inevitably, some are cancelled. Or all are cancelled. Or something.
As long as the pandemic rages unchecked, today’s plan is tomorrow’s toilet paper.
In a related bit of news I heard from someone today that BE hoops might be played as a series of pods with four teams gathering in one location to play round robins. I assume that is an attempt to reduce travel. No fans of course.

Whether the BIG will be eligible for the playoff, is yet to be determined. But i think they will let them be eligible.

Frankly, given all the other sports are expanding their playoffs in reaction to the coronavirus why doesnt CFB expand the playoffs for this season to 16? we're playing far fewer than normal games, Big Ten might play 8? Some conferences arent playing at all.

With seasons looming, Marquette men's and women's basketball teams will halt for two weeks after positive COVID testswww.jsonline.com/story/sports/2020/10/21/marquette-mens-and-womens-basketball-teams-pause-after-positive-coronavirus-tests/3721453001/Just one week after starting official practices, the Marquette men's and women's basketball teams will halt activities for two weeks after two positive tests for COVID-19, the school announced Wednesday.
According to the MU athletic department, after 45 tests were conducted Monday, there was one positive test within each program. The teams will follow the NCAA's guidelines with all "Tier 1" personnel – the players and coaching staff – quarantining for 14 days.
The teams can return to practice Nov. 4.
The timing is not ideal for the programs.

And now Mertz is positive for the virus.
How long will it take for college administrators to look themselves in the mirror and say “My God, what were we thinking?”

How long will it take for college administrators to look themselves in the mirror and say “My God, what were we thinking?” Hopefully this finally shuts the door on the idea that college administrators care about anything other than money. If we want to talk about a hoax, let's consider the "student athlete" ideology.
