nice article......author obviously sucked some lemons or had/has an agenda - factual yes but wow, real nice Seems fair to me, if I were Ron, I'd have probably quit too with this kind of hamstringing.

I have zero clue what the reason is with Ron. He did seem out of touch and didn't want to know the fans on a personal level. IMO.

We're thirty-five of the most delightful people you'd ever meet!

On another note, losing another ticket manager has got to be an absolute gut punch to AB. A major source of revenue for your program has been rudderless going on four years now. B-Mo gone in fall of 2015, Eric Becker running it as an underpaid, overworked and lone assistant for a year, the job being pushed on others who already have too much on their plate in late 2016, finally finding a guy in summer 2017 only to see him leave the following summer...gut punch. Absolute gut punch.
I ran into a season ticker holder yesterday. We had a nice conversation. He's planning to renew. Did mention that another longtime season ticker holder we both know did not renew his tickets last year. No one called that fan to renew, so he didn't.
There needs to be someone in that chair, and that person needs an assistant. We've been without that since Fall of 2015. The expenses of the program have only gone up since then; this is unacceptable.
We have a few possibilities here:
1. You're unable to fill the position with a quality hire. Perhaps Ron Reeves was ill-suited for the job, and he was let go or moved on of his own volition. You made a bad hire after a couple years of the job being vacant; an essential position was botched when there was no room for error. 2. You're unable to convince the university that these ticket office positions are necessary for the future growth of the program, so the university has dragged its feet in putting the jobs up. You can't sell this to your superiors in Chapman Hall, so program attendance nose dives in a period you hoped would shake things up and drum up interest in the program again.
3. Perhaps Ron Reeves left because he was no longer interested in working for Milwaukee Athletics. Maybe it was low morale in the department. Maybe he was performing too many duties for his time, or wasn't compensated enough to make the job valuable to him. Maybe he didn't have the professional relationships with his superiors that he would have been
4. Maybe Lena Taylor wasn't all that off base. Take the men's basketball staff out of the equation and make your way through the staff directory. I mean I still don't believe this is the case, but you'd think someone who was so publicly challenged on the subject would have fixed the problem by now, seeing as positions tend to open up rather frequently.
Or....? Any other suggestions?

Or....? Any other suggestions? This will seem absurd to the Braun haters since it wouldn't help their agenda but this could have NOTHING to do with working in the athletic dept at all. Maybe it's personal! MAYBE he doesn't like the city and/or doesn't want to live in this kind of weather. My company has a lot of transplants and they leave at an exponentially higher rate than those from WI. Half of my immediate team are transplants and those with no family connections to the state often talk about leaving in the foreseeable future. Hell, stories are still told of a guy at my boss' level who moved from Texas and left to go back 40 days later. Time might tell why he left. Maybe to warmer pastures, maybe to larger athletic budgets, maybe he's changing careers altogether.

nice article......author obviously sucked some lemons or had/has an agenda - factual yes but wow, real nice Appears to be a common sense article to me. The author was seeking justification for certain ticket increases while pointing out current state of affairs the program is in. If the current AD continues to alienate season ticket holders you'll find yourself watching DIII BB at the Klotsche Center...

I don't think you will have to worry about getting seats. The place holds 12,700 and the average attendance last yr was about 1400. With the exodus for some season ticket holders that will be about 1200 this season. Burning my letter upon receipt....

Burning my letter upon receipt.... Why is that? Probably to symbolize how heartwarming the price increases are.

Probably to symbolize how heartwarming the price increases are. Sure. If you sat in the $75 or $90 area. Not the smartest move. Could have just up The price. The rest is the same or went down. Also, Let's keep it real. $130 for the 300 level center court is still a great deal!

How much are Marquette season ticket holders paying to see Bethune Cookman, Presbyterian and Charleston Southern at the new palace...sorry, Forum? Stop complaining. No matter where your previous seats were, seasons tickets are cheap and a great bang for your buck. I get it, if you have a family of 4 and got hosed on the reconfiguration, fine. But my god, enough. I don't even know why I come on this board sometimes. Just a bunch of babies, whining and crying at every turn.

Look what seats are for the Admirals and Wave at UWM Panther Arena. Panthers basketball is still a great price. As I said, I'm glad they got rid of the $75 seats. It's devalues the other seats. That said, they should have kept that seating area and made it $99. Also, the corners in the lower area (200 level), should have been $175. www.milwaukeeadmirals.com/flexplanswww.milwaukeewave.com/tickets/seasontickets

I just wanted to sneak in their weak non con schedule that no one has talked about. (not saying ours will be much better) Full disclosure, my seats are in section 206. Come say hi. Grey zone is $130 / 15 home games = $8.67 per ticket. Let's be honest here. A beer is what, $7? Parking across the street $20? The outrage over getting rid of $75 season tickets is baffling to me.

The MU comparison is fair, as it's college basketball. That said, MU does have Wisconsin, Kansas State, Buffalo, UMBC. That said, power leagues do play many dogs. Yes, the prices are much higher. Beer last year was $9.50 at the Bradley Center. I'm willing to bet it will be $12 at the Fiserv Forum. UWMPA has prices in check. Parking is $15 in the surface lot across the street. Also, free after 6pm on the streets.
