Unless I missed your example, the $75 corner is not a better seat than a the center court sections. The $90 seats in the 200 was a steal. Let's keep it real, selling your product for $75 is a joke. Also, I would think it's unfair to judge the new faces on the team as worse product just because we have not seen them play. A low row in the corner is better than anything in the 300s in my opinion. $75 was a good value, and I'm not against small increases in price, but I can say I'm against pretty much doubling it. It's super easy to hide behind "well you never know if they'll be worse" but losing 90% of your scoring and having to scramble last minute for a picked-over group of transfers gives me some confidence that I can judge them as a worse product, having seen them play or not. I think you will find the statistics on teams with that amount of personnel losses and very low continuity at the mid-major level is pretty bleak, especially when the turnover happens as late as it did this offseason. Betting odds are on your side! I would bet the side in what you said. So, I agree with you. That said, I'm not hiding behind anything. I don't work for UWM. I didn't attend UWM. Just a season ticket holder who goes to all the games. Yes, I do think it's unfair to judge this team because we have not seen them play. That said, I have seen six new Panthers in action at IWB's Pro-AM at MSOE and I like what I see.

The only "exciting" aspect of the ticket package this year is online account management. Otherwise it actually seems like less is offered than in the past few years unless more is being released when the account management info is released. The parking options this year are dumb and I hope we can still buy individual game parking passes because I'm not making a donation at almost 3x face value for a parking garage spot when most games have easy parking options.
As for the elimination of seating sections, a) yikes! b) I understand why but they should've grandfathered those current ST holders rate for this year while still having them sit in their new sections. I completely sympathize with those who won't renew b/c of their section being eliminated. When they're averaging 100 people during the non-conference games, they'll have to put forth some decent mini plans given how underwhelming this conference has become.

Who said anything about you working for UWM? Why would anyone think that? With the betting odds and general common sense implying they will be (possibly historically!) worse, in a vacuum one would not assume a big price increase should be forthcoming from UWM, yet here the corner section ticket holders find themselves. While they may have been trying to do exactly that, it is poor customer relations and presumptuous to think that won't further decrease very low fan support. Even outside of a vacuum, there's nothing to justify it given this program and what it offers.

I was just stating my case clear in where I come from. That's all. I do find it weird as I'm not a staff or alumni, so I can't buy the $140 section. I have only 4 options. Courtside. Gold Floor seats (100 sections) Black Section in the 200's or the Grey Section in the 300's. There should be an option in the far corners for $89 or something. So, season tickets start at $130 for UWM, while at Marquette season tickets start behind the basket in the upper deck in the new world class arena for $125. Doesn't add up. So, what is your plan for this upcoming season? Move to the Grey Section.

I was also told we could buy single games tickets and have same seats as last year. The cost would be $12.00 per game. At 13 games that would be $156.00 per ticket. I consider the way the AD is handling this as BAD BUSINESS. I'll take my dispendable dollars and spend them elsewhere. So much for loyalty to your season ticket base who has stuck with them all these years...

If you are of the opinion that somehow UWM will be better next year, come out and say that, don't hide behind "well we'll just have to see" and everyone forgets about it when they go 7-23 and we have lost interest 8 months later. Related to your relation with UWM, if a hamfisted administration were to contract someone to covertly promote them in a hamfisted attempt at public relations, I don't think they'd have much deviation from a lot of your posts. That said, I can only take you at your word. Agreed that MU seats at $125 look much more appealing to us non-alums that just like college hoops, and for someone that has had both for a while, I have a strong notion to have my college hoops dollar walk down the street toward better MU seats than reinforce a move that seems determined to alienate at least a portion of their fanbase (and a program that succeeded in alienating a large portion of their roster). Other options would be to cherry-pick a few games, some kind of mini-plan, or just skip the Panthers altogether this lost season.

It’s like they just can’t help themselves. Once or twice a year they have to do something to piss the few loyal followers off. It is honestly bizarre.
Is the increase that much money? No, of course not but why do something that’s just going to get people riled up? You had to know this was going to upset people.
You want to raise the price? Fine, but justify it with something to make the consumer feel appreciated. Accesss to the ATI club, extra tickets for guests, food/drink coupons, invitations to special events or just a simple thank you call from the coaching staff/athletic department.

I couldn't agree with you more. As previous season ticket holders we never were offered any sort of perk, upgrade, or etc. Nor had we ever asked for anything either. Last year ticket office screwed up our ticket order. They never mailed out our season tickets and when we picked them up at Will Call, day of first game, they were wrong tickets. Then made it like they were doing us this gigantic favor by fixing their error. Thin is nothing more than a Big FU by the AD and her staff. Well big FU back, I'll spend my money at New Arena done street and funnel my money to MU. I'm sure they would appreciate the business...

Then they tried justifying my ticket price increase by saying they decreased the price in the new loge section. So they want me to pay 75% more while asking others, who have had tickets in new section alignment, to pay less, MMMMMM

Your section in the LOGE area was steal for $75. I was in that area from 2007-11 when it was $99. They could have just raised the cost to $89 which would still be a steal!!

That would be unfair for the people who pay the cost while still a excellent price at $130. As opposed to cancelling their section altogether and having the cheapest option available at almost double the cost?

He/She is all giggles because he/she will pay less next year and doesn't actually look at the big picture and ramifications. I think he/she and the AD didn't pay close attention during Econ 101.

I also would be lying after seven years of being in the BLACK area ($290) per seat I was thinking about moving to the section 205 the old color coded RED area at $90 per seat. I own two seats, so the thought of saving $400 in odds in what might be a year that the team in a year away sounded good.
