9 players have left the program since Baldwin has taken over. Says a lot about him.

This program is a total joke and disaster. And the clowns they have running the show, how do they still have a job? Otzelberger should have been the choice, would have had some consistency going on right now. Instead, they hired Jordan who never wanted to be here in the first place. I am so close to just walking away from this joke of a program. Very sad what this has turned into. Very clear that Baldwin is a turd as a coach as well.

Serious question:
I'm no longer a season ticket holder, have drastically reduced going to games (just two in each of the past two seasons), and basically follow the team online. I've written a handful of emails to Braun and Mone expressing my displeasure with their leadership.
What else can be done besides not care anymore?

Blaming the current state of the program on Rob Jeter is like blaming Joe Biden for Donald Trump! Well, Obama/Biden is like Mone/Braun.

JETER DERANGEMENT SYNDROME!! John, you are truly out of your mind!!! Blaming the current state of the program on Rob Jeter is like blaming Joe Biden for Donald Trump! Unfortunately, my health insurance policy explicitly excludes treatment for JDS. I remain inflicted with the disease . Certainly, today's news is not directly related to Rob Jeter (though I may retract this comment if some of the defections are to U of M). Having spent so much time in the program, he just happens to be the poster child for the athletic department's dysfunction. I can understand his "loyalty" to the program which allowed him to collect his half mill each year while a game of musical chairs was going on in the athletic director's office. I would have been just as loyal. Some seem to keep focusing on Amanda Braun, or a combination of her and Mone, for every negative development in the program. While they share some of the blame for all that has transpired in recent years, they are only part of the problem. The issues are much deeper than that. Obviously, some in this thread recognize this based on the comments and likes of the comments about the school's faulty method of hiring the last several AD's. Having stated this, it is more important to look forward rather than back. During Loyola's successful NCAA tournament run, I said it gives us hope for turning our program around. I was serious when I said it may take 33 years (after 2006) like it did them. Systemic issues brought on by institutional dysfunction take a long time to resolve, if ever. Unless any of us on this board proactively lead the turn around, all we can do is be patient. I know it is easier for a private school to turn it around than a public one, but we may be only one Pat Richter-like hire away from this happening.

I'm not going to argue for Milwaukee that Otzelberger would have been the better long-term play, but I don't think it's fair to say Jordan didn't want to be there in the first place. Butler's his alma mater, and was offering him an opportunity for more money, coaching a good team in the Big East. Not to mention Butler's AD is his former coach and is a much better working situation overall than working with Braun. Overall I feel for you guys and the situation you've been put in by the administration. Hopefully better days are ahead for the Panthers.

If the university administration was okay with her alienating our biggest donors, I don't know what to tell you. I fear that what we are really seeing is the beginning of the end stage of Milwaukee athletics. I now have a history with this program going back almost 50 years. The sad truth is that there have always been forces on campus that disdained athletics. Perhaps she was the Manchurian AD all along. Practically speaking you could not have hurt our men's basketball program more in the last 25 months than she has done if you expressly set out to do so. Occam's razor, folks. At this point maybe the only safe assumption is that that really was her intention.

Keep in mind that Braun wanted to hire TJ and Mone kiboshed it. Braun is a symptom, Mone is the disease. Removing Braun without firing Mone is a complete waste of time.

Does anyone have a piece of cheese that we could set out for our resident "crisis management expert?"

TJ would have been a profound downgrade from Jeter in every important way in my opinion, but the argument doesn’t matter at this point. We have catastrophically bad administration, and the thing that is absolutely the most likely to happen now is this: nothing. And we few remaining stakeholders are expected just to take it. They don’t care about the program. They don’t care about the student athletes. And they sure as hell don’t care about the fans.
