Among other shoes yet to drop, somebody argue to me how we can possibly afford to keep renting the Arena. If the administration doesn't get a total makeover before next season (and maybe even if it does) we could literally be looking at "crowds" ranging from the dozens to the low hundreds. We could play the damn games at Engelmann, much less the Klotsche!
This will be a pathetic case study at sports management schools for decades on how to crater a mid-major program through sheer administrative incompetence.

Bluntly, we just set the clock back ANOTHER two years, in a BEST case scenario!! That's on top of the two we were already still going to have to suffer before we had any likelihood of even gettting back to an AVERAGE year under Jeter!
When will the University get the picture!?
Let me be very clear about the five most important things any competent AD at Milwaukee has to do:
1. Support the men's basketball program
2. Support the men's basketball program
3. Support the men's basketball program
4. Support the men's basketball program
...
5. Everything else
Apparently our current AD read that as "Sabotage the men's basketball program!"

Time for a contract extension for Ms Braun - maybe too late but she has to go NOW!!!!!!!! Then again, maybe a lot of people including Mone will be happy. More than one way to jettison athletics

As much as I revile Braun I blame the morons on the selection committee for past hires like Koonce, Costello, Geiger and Braun while passing over Plinske twice.

Say what you want about Braun, but for Baldwin to come in act like a dictator, develop no relationships with his players/team leaders, combined with that stunt he pulled with them on Christmas......he has only himself to blame and shouldn't be shocked. But 2 sweeping makeovers to the roster, in 3 years along with striking out with joining the MVC, could mean the dagger for this program.

If Braun got righteously thrown out on her rear end, do you think there is any chance in hell we'd allow Mone and the search committee fill that position as they have in the past? Mone has never hired an athletic director. No one tell him that he's going to be wearing me like a coat for the weeks and months leading up to the hire. His leg muscles would be so developed, he'd be able to dunk after carrying my weight for that long. |

Who hired Baldwin? Who fired Jeter!? Whose actions discarded great kids and players like Tiby, Panoske, Arians, Springs, and Johnson -- and now Stull, Nze and Bell -- like they were just irrelevant collateral damage so that she could get her way?
Do actions have ANY consequences at UWM?
Some of us have LOVED this program for decades, and when we saw what was happening too many said we were just being "negative." No -- we were yelling FIRE! because there was a FIRE!!!!!!!!
