I can't shake this feeling that this tournament is going to end up being pretty dull results wise. Hopefully some upsets happen...especially the 3/6 game...but it would figure that in the most unpredictable tournament, the higher seed wins every game.

Cleveland State is up 83-75 on NKY with 1 minute left.

CSU is out of their mind right now. Kenic and Appleby. My goodness.

#1 goes down, and the tournament opens up a ton. We'll play Wright State in the Semis if we win tom, as they beat GB.

The new format has taken out the top seed in the quarterfinals all three years.

I hope the #1 seed loses in the quarterfinals every single year for the rest of time until the format goes back to giving the 1 seed hosting rights. For anyone who cares, CSU was RPI #305 coming into the game tonight, while NKU was #103. NKU was being projected as the highest (best) of the 15 seeds, with an average seed of 14.66 on all brackets around the country. Wright State will now slide right into that spot on all the bracketology websites, given that their RPI is #104. www.bracketmatrix.comI actually think WSU has a better shot at a 14 seed than NKU did, as they have 2 more Quadrant 2 wins than NKU.

Tbh all I care about is Milwaukee's chances. NKU's loss makes it a bit easier. Can't imagine any team in the HL winning a rd 1 game anyway.

I like that our chances improve. In all honesty it may be better for the Horizon league to get a #16 Play-in this year. Win that game and the conference gets twice as much money as a #15 seed one game exit.

The other thing NKU's loss illuminates is that it's not easy to win games in this league tournament. I'll post our record AFTER we're done playing.
