It would be a PR nightmare for UWM, with it's 1,500 paid average crowds blocking the use for the arena for the NBA All-Star Game. You don't find it the least bit ironic that the same d*ckheads that wanted to tear our arena down, now need it for their precious All Star Game for some reason? As of September, they'll have possession of 2 arenas of their own. Let them use the BMOBC for their event before they tear it down. I hope Harris Turer gives them about as much consideration as they gave his team, and tells them to pound sand.

Given the history around here if we got a home game under the old format it would have to be at KC either because of the circus, ice show or giving up our home for the NBA All Star game. Sorry. but..... Can't call him a liar due to the past, but in the case of THIS year, the circus was already here and Disney on Ice is at the BMOBC. And the All Star game is no later than the 20th of February each year. Disney on Ice was also at the Bradley Center.

It would be funny if Harris Turer told them to fly off a bridge, but the Admirals are bigger than that and are all class! I do find it funny how some wanted to rip down the arena, and now they need it in 2023 or 20024 for All Star game events. By the way, by law the Bradley Center has to be torn down.

I wonder how many ADs would now admit, even if it’s off the record, that this tournament was a bad idea? Detroit’s AD was starting to realize it after last year and he had the most to gain from it.

I would venture to guess we would have the votes to kill it. It's clear now more than ever that this whole thing was a snake oil sale, courtesy of one Greg Kampe. It's blown up in his face. If IUPUI wins Sunday, and frankly I hope that they do, the eggs on Kampe's face will count in the dozens.

Are you going, 'Holic? This starts on the worst possible day and time for me. Even under the old format, I wouldn't be going. I could have made a first-round home game.

So here's the question, folks? Who IS going? Off the top of my head, I can guess only a few names for certain. Jimmy?

I was going to laugh at the statements made that the nba would need the panther arena for two weeks for the all star game but then googled it and was astonished that it was true! Why the h would they need two arenas for not just one week but two? Why not make it three weeks? Why not an entire month? How many events are there even for the all star break? I only know of celebrity, rookie/sophomore, 3 point/slam dunk, and the actual game, maybe a media day or practice that weekend on top of that. Wouldn’t those all be in the new arena anyways? I mean it’s not that big of a deal because it’s not the most logistically difficult thing to schedule the panthers and admirals away from home for two weeks. I just don’t understand what they need it for. If we’re allowing off-topic pipe dreams, I’d love to see a proposal for Milwaukee to host the B1G tourney with a format of rewarding two teams with a bye. Then you could have 6 games on Thursday with two of them at panther arena, and if you really wanted to make it fun they could make it double elimination but I know that would never happen.

I'm guessing that they would use it to stage some kind of "NBA Fan Experience."
