Has anyone seen NKU this season? They've done a hell of a job getting people to their home games, especially big ones. Is there any doubt BB&T Arena would be packed to the gills for a championship game?

I think BPU's point is that our nationally televised final would once again be a powerful advertisement for the League -- instead of a complete embarrassment -- if it was going to be at the packed BB&T instead of a deserted Pizza Palace.

Yes, I understood and agree with his point. I was answering his first question.  Old format, would have meant a home game for UWM. Old format makes the regular season better, as it rewards the regular season winner. Semi's and Finals would look great at NKY's Arena. |

I was at LCA on Saturday night, they’re definitely going to need bigger curtains than what they used at The Joe.
Edit: If Saturday’s game is any indication of this next weekend, the league’s reliance on Oakland’s fans showing up is going to be a problem.

Given the history around here if we got a home game under the old format it would have to be at KC either because of the circus, ice show or giving up our home for the NBA All Star game. Sorry. but.....

Was not meant to be literal but speculative , ie Murphy's law... given our luck...I guess I am also a bit peeved about the whole Bucks All Star thing...we of course caved on that quickly

It would be a PR nightmare for UWM, with it's 1,500 paid average crowds blocking the use for the arena for the NBA All-Star Game.

I’m more curious what the Admirals will tell them. The team that told them to find a new home now wants them to vacate that home for 2 weeks so they can utilize the new arena, which they were evicted from. As you mentioned, it’s a PR nightmare. But I assume they’ll be cutting the Ads a nice check for that.
Does that mean MU also needs to find a new home for two weeks?
I guess I never realized the logistics that go into hosting the all star game.
Anyways, back to the Madness. I hate our draw. We match up horribly with UIC, as evidenced by the box scores from the first two meetings. But man I’d love to send them packing again. Looking forward to it!
