I have a pretty educated guess as to who will stay and who will go. I don't think that's appropriate to share, but I'll say this: none of them are 100% out the door. They all are interested to meet LaVall Jordan and hear what he has to say. They don't trust Braun in the slightest. That goes from the graduating players on down to the freshmen. There's no trust there. That's a really difficult situation to stay in when you have your future career in the hands of someone you don't trust. They've seen what she's done with their old teammates and they don't want anything happening to them. They saw right through that 'mandatory meeting' on Monday - they know she was scolded for not communicating with them, but they know that she's only open with them enough to tell them "there's progress" on Monday. They talk to players elsewhere, and know that Wright State players got to meet the candidates before Scott Nagy was hired. They found out exactly when we did - this morning, from Jeff Goodman. The players aren't going to hold anything against LaVall Jordan - but if you ask me (you are), I'd say the likelihood of keeping our players is a lot higher if Amanda Braun is gone before the end of the semester. The team wants to see support - and as long as Amanda Braun is the athletic director of their program, that's clear-cut evidence that Mark Mone and the university aren't supporting them. Thanks for the reply. Each player needs to do what is best for himself, and I wish each and every one of them nothing but the best no matter the decision. In my opinion each player needs to be selfish and do what is right for his future. +1

Just watched the entire press conference. I'm sold and looking forward to the future of the program. Welcome to Milwaukee Coach Jordan.

Todd Rosiak @todd_Rosiak Deal in place for LaVall Jordan will pay him $350,000 annually plus incentives. So the doom & gloom brigade's projections that we would only be able to attract & afford the 3rd best middle school coach in West Bend was slightly off? How...expected.

As for the press conference, a few things that I can remember off the top of my head:
1) Whoever the guy is from Media Milwaukee (?) who asked about the challenges of recruiting after having consecutive post-season bans needs to have his credentials removed. Not only is that factually wrong, it's incredibly stupid and embarrassing. There wasn't even a close second place for dumbest question. This was the winner by a mile.
2) Hearing Jordan say they need to engage the donor base and the untapped potential in donations (paraphrasing) made my ears perk up. Had Jeter been listening to this presser, he'd have had to turn on the subtitles since Jordan clearly stopped speaking English at that moment.
3) I'm looking forward to seeing his "fast, efficient" offense & stingy defense. I know he'll have to adjust accordingly to the roster he's inherited but I'm intrigued to see what he does specifically.
As for potential roster turnover, I can't speak for the front court guys as much but I will say I'd be surprised if Jordan leaves and/or Bryce Barnes decommits. Jordan doesn't have the luxury as the other guys who can play immediately if he leaves. His new coach also has a proven track record of developing PGs and elevating their careers to post college success. Where is he going to go that will have more current NBA players & coaches personally vouch for the HC than Lavall? As for Barnes, he'll presumably have 4-5 years to learn from the same coach AND he gets to stay close to home, a large factor in his original decision to commit.

Hope springs eternal when a new Coach is hired in any sport and at any school. Recruiting will improve..the fans will pack the stands...everyone will unite...we'll win scads of games...his old employer is upset that he escaped to another job elsewhere...
All of that if it happens at all will take time. You never really know how things will play out until they play out.
That being said, from what I've read and heard, there seems to be real reason for optimism. I'm looking forward to seeing him in action. I'd say this was a good hire, a very good hire. If we all get behind our new coach, we could make it into a great hire.

Regardless of Braun's immoral handling of the Jeter firing, this is ultimately a good hire that wins her a few points from me. I will echo previous comments about how it's good to have another black coach, and the experience that Jordan (adding to the long pedigree of Jordans in this basketball program!) has recruiting in the Milwaukee area is a solid bonus.
He is also young! 36 years old! Hopefully his career will be quite long here.
