LaVall Jordan is a rising star in coaching. He is a terrific teacher, an expert recruiter, and an excellent tactician. LaVall learned it and lived it the Butler Way and was an integral part of Michigan's success. He is a class individual in every respect. Milwaukee has a great one in LaVall Jordan." – Jay Bilas, ESPN Analyst

Don't think that's the case. God lord, I hope not.

Let's all support Lavall Jordan! Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards Jimmy, I'm probably putting you on the spot (I am) but any thoughts on players staying/wanting to play for LJ? I have a pretty educated guess as to who will stay and who will go. I don't think that's appropriate to share, but I'll say this: none of them are 100% out the door. They all are interested to meet LaVall Jordan and hear what he has to say. They don't trust Braun in the slightest. That goes from the graduating players on down to the freshmen. There's no trust there. That's a really difficult situation to stay in when you have your future career in the hands of someone you don't trust. They've seen what she's done with their old teammates and they don't want anything happening to them. They saw right through that 'mandatory meeting' on Monday - they know she was scolded for not communicating with them, but they know that she's only open with them enough to tell them "there's progress" on Monday. They talk to players elsewhere, and know that Wright State players got to meet the candidates before Scott Nagy was hired. They found out exactly when we did - this morning, from Jeff Goodman. The players aren't going to hold anything against LaVall Jordan - but if you ask me (you are), I'd say the likelihood of keeping our players is a lot higher if Amanda Braun is gone before the end of the semester. The team wants to see support - and as long as Amanda Braun is the athletic director of their program, that's clear-cut evidence that Mark Mone and the university aren't supporting them.

I'm hopeful that Coach Jordan will be able to get Milwaukee back where it belongs- at the top of the Horizon League and back in the Big dance!

Bill Behrns and Leah Thyne's departments have done a great job putting together the press and social media around the hiring. People were wondering out loud to me yesterday evening why we hadn't seen a press release all day. I think the gathered quotes were a really nice touch and also answer the question - we hadn't seen anything all day from the school because they were getting the release ready. When Rob Jeter was hired, the release wasn't nearly as put together as this one. Since LaVall Jordan was picked (a great choice), the university did a great job getting the word out. So, well done by everyone - Parker Search, the Search and Screen Committee chaired by David Pate, the athletic department staff, Chancellor Mone and yes - Amanda Braun.

Thanks for the reply. Each player needs to do what is best for himself, and I wish each and every one of them nothing but the best no matter the decision. In my opinion each player needs to be selfish and do what is right for his future.
