One thing about this hire no one has mentioned is that our players were upset when they heard that Wright St players got to meet all the candidates ansld weigh in on who they wanted. UWM players were told nothing except things we're moving fast. After all that happened under this mess with Braun, one would have thought a good way to pull some players back in the fold would have been to let them interview candidates and have a stake in the new hire.
One player said Jordan is nothing special after yesterday. Maybe if they had input he would be special.

The WSU players didn't demand their walking papers, weren't saying their time there was a "waste", that they got nothing out of being there etc. The WSU players were still committed to their university. That's not to say the players didn't have some legitimate beefs but they didn't handle those beefs any better than Ms. Braun handled them. When you publicly state that you want out, don't expect to be included in making plans for the future.

Safe to say Jeff Meyer won't be leaving the staff. If I had to guess two, I would say Kahler and Vergollo have a good shot of going to Milwaukee, assuming they won't be getting promoted at U of M.

When you publicly state that you want out, don't expect to be included in making plans for the future. I think you read them wrong. The Fox Six quote of Tiby was edited down - he started the line by saying she made him feel that way. These guys felt that way because they were lied to. In reality, this situation is very different from Wright State. Indeed, I think it's safe to say that it's different from just about every MBB transition in recent memory. IMO, Braun could have killed everything with full transparency. Instead she played shadow games and lied to just about everyone with a stake in the program - players, donors, families, fans, media. It doesn't take a genius to see these kids are just looking out for each other. Transition is always difficult, but transparency would have made things easier to stomach for everyone involved - and when things went south, transparency could have been her saving grace. Hope he retains some of the old staff like Chris Hill and Al Those would be two names I would definitely want around; like any of our guys, I always want them to continue to grow in their careers and hopefully we can give one of them the reins some day. It's not just an alumni thing - Chris Hill is respected in Chicago and helps us recruit there; Allan Hanson is pretty much the most well-liked guy on the north side. If Coach Vall is serious about recruiting Milwaukee, Hanson in particular would be someone to keep around. I think there's another couple names that would be good for Vall to have on staff. I won't put them here for the same reason I stayed out of the coaching search fray - I don't want AB to rule someone out based on my preference.

Butler teammate and former Butler assistant Mike Marshall was at the presser, possible assistant coach?

Debbie Downer?! Freak lives... My apologies, I was not aware of the relationship of this popular nomenclature term with a poster on this message board. Going forward I'll use the term "Negative Nancy" instead of "Debbie Downer."
