IMO we need a guy like Boudreau who has a plethora of JUCO contacts. This program has done well with JUCO recruits for some time and I would hate to see the well go dry.

Mark Miller & Rob Demovsky have suggested Dave Buchanan on Twitter. Current Drake assistant coach who has coached previously coached WI high school & college basketball from '96-'13. Drake has three Wisconsinites from Eau Claire, Stoughton & New Berlin.

There's a HUGE difference between their situation and the one at Wright State. The WSU players didn't demand their walking papers, weren't saying their time there was a "waste", that they got nothing out of being there etc. The WSU players were still committed to their university. That's not to say the players didn't have some legitimate beefs but they didn't handle those beefs any better than Ms. Braun handled them. When you publicly state that you want out, don't expect to be included in making plans for the future. I think you read them wrong. The Fox Six quote of Tiby was edited down - he started the line by saying she made him feel that way. These guys felt that way because they were lied to. In reality, this situation is very different from Wright State. Indeed, I think it's safe to say that it's different from just about every MBB transition in recent memory. IMO, Braun could have killed everything with full transparency. Instead she played shadow games and lied to just about everyone with a stake in the program - players, donors, families, fans, media. It doesn't take a genius to see these kids are just looking out for each other. Transition is always difficult, but transparency would have made things easier to stomach for everyone involved - and when things went south, transparency could have been her saving grace. In general it's a bad idea to include people who may or not may be around in the future, when you are deciding who to hire for the future. |

Jordan will be on Bill Michaels at 12:05 today and was on Chuck & Wickett this morning if a podcast is available. I'm sure he'll be doing several other appearances over the next few days.
