Careful now. Some of these posters, like Steve, Fran and Sport, have been fans of the program for 40 or 50 years. Oh I'm not doubting any of the fans on here. Everyone on here has tons of passion for this program. I am talking about our fan base as a whole. There are far more fans that just don't seem to have any. I mean as much as I loathe valpo fans they were loud, they had energy, the showed it. I just don't understand why our fan base can't have that.

i favor legalizing marijuana for all sorts of reasons. tax it like alcohol and cigarettes and you get a lot of money for the feds and states in taxes, plus you free people who are currently in prison for possessing the stuff. as for the basketball team, they need to have a run in the conference tourney to get people pumped. i weas at the semifinal game in 2011 and it was pumping. dont know why the fanbase is so apathetic. Apathetic is a good word for what it seems to be now. i wasn't here in 2011 so I wasn't here to see it for that HLT run. Where did it go tho?

Its absolutely embarrassing. We don't know what to do to get them off their lazy butts and actually cheer. I am about ready to sneak in a bunch of booze and pass it out to them. but seriously if anyone has any ideas we are open ears. We are starting to give up and its really disappointing that its so bad that it has gotten to that point. Almost seems like they have to give out a pair of Beats by Dre headphones every game to get people there in the first place. Maybe picking a "student of the game" based on their cheering and overall activeness and giving them some sort of prize like this? Maybe not a $200 pair of headphones every game but it needs to be something that will A) get them there and B) get them off their ass. Whoa! A pair of headphones costs $200?!? How do today's students afford their grass?

As for student participation? I think moving some of the key students that want to cheer to the side seats where the majority of the people are, is a better chance of fans helping joining in with chants. Like setting up a honoree student cheer conductor of the game in a particular seat or area..but they have to be where the usual diehards are who come to all the games...just a thought

Just in case anybody still cares...
This HOME LOSS moved Milwaukee's RPI/SOS from 143/227 to 156/226 (6-6, 15-10 vs D-I).
The ROAD WIN moved Valpo's RPI/SOS from 192/221 to 168/196 (8-4, 13-11 vs D-I).
