I just don't understand how the deficit could get worse after literally every Valpo big man fouled out. Just terrible. +1

With Aaron out the next five games, this is the team we need to get used to watching. We just need to survive one game in the HL tourney to at least see him play again. But with two tough road games, I'd say we need to adjust our hopes to getting a home game instead of a bye. Maybe 5 or 6 seed?
FYI.. I'm hearing the JO suspension was a result of him not passing a test. And I'm not talking about a school related test. Not sure if six games is an NCAA rule or a team issued suspension??

If it is team issued, who the f*** tests their oen players in the middle of the season?? Like leave that up to the NCAA. You are only going to shoot yourself in the foot with something like that. like honestly I am dumbfounded. I can't think of anyone in the Division 1 that does their own testing instead of relying on NCAAs random testing policy..... Gah i don't care why he is suspended. Its just frustrating. God damn it.

If its six games we are f***ed. Tanking your team's season by suspending your best player that long to make a point is bogus. How can you do that to the rest of the team? Love this comment, man. Unless it involves activity that breaks laws, there's gotta be a better way to make a statement. Obviously, this is a completely different game with Jay-O, playing at an all-league-caliber level, in the lineup.

By the way, I was right on the verge today of starting a Jay-O Watch thread for career and season points.
I guess that can be scratched.

(not conding anyone's behavior, but!)- Marijuana is such a dangerous, "gateway", Madness-type drug.
Tell that to my uncle who killed his best friend's mom in a drunken driving 'accident'. (Did no time btw- in the 70's it was apparently an acccepted thing to drive a 2,000 lb missile blasted out of your mind).
Tell that to my Great-grandpa who died of cirrhosis at age 42.
Tell that to my 5 friends who killed themselves in a blind drunken rage.
But yeah. Punish people who smoked weed 30 days ago at a New Year's Eve, Halloween or Birthday party.... but let the coke-heads, meth-heads, heroin addicts, and (most abundant) alcoholics' quit for just 2-3 days/ 72 hours, and pass any test you give them- guaranteed.
Current drug testing is a farce. I am pretty sure Jay-O was suspended for weed. Does that mean he is a heroin junkie? Does that mean he is a bad person?
I'll let you sip the rest of that Scotch and decide for yourself.
I am mad beyond any sort of conception of angry I can conjure. And.. I am going to write a book about this FARCE. I could care less about how many copies are sold/read. Sh*t, I might give it away free. People need to understand the gravity of the biased "drug test" situation- not just in NCAA- in the entire workforce, no matter your (existing or potential) employer.
It is was it is. We could have won tonight. And it's not because we sat down a heroin or alcohol junkie. I can only hope NCAA/internal drug testing things change- soon.
GO PANTHERS!!!!

I'm fine with his decision. He was using it for medicinal purposes.

Lots of frustration. Minor quibble all things considered, but I guess I should have known it wouldn't be Milwaukee's night, when there weren't even any game programs to hand out. Not good for an OCD person like me who likes to keep the program for each game. I did think the team's effort was better, than some of the past home games that have been lost. They were competing; it was just really ugly. Frustrating to see Austin bricking so many 3's. Of course the constant fouls didn't help things...just an aggravating game to watch.

In the win over Green Bay, Jay-O scored over 40 percent of the team's points. This team simply isn't wired to win without him. Sorry.

Austin is one of our best 3 point shooters, and it's tough to see him go through a tough skid like he's going through the last few games. With Aaron out for the foreseeable future, we're going to need to hope he finds his stroke soon. It's tough to feel like you need to be "the guy" out there hitting all the shots, but come next year he's that guy anyways. Maybe now that the team has a little more time to realize they'll be without Aaron (assuming this decision was fairly recent), they'll be able to get a few good practices in without him. Obviously, Bobo is not a good fill in for Aaron but I was impressed with his ability to get to the basket tonight.
With Aaron out, I was hoping to see more of Wichmann. I know he set the bar pretty high earlier this year when he saved us in a few games, but I think he needs to limit the amount of threes he takes right off the bench. Once he misses one or two threes, he seems to get sub'd out pretty quick. We've seen him have the ability to get open under the hoop and score easy buckets. Those might help him earn a little more playing time as opposed to jacking up the first open shot he gets.
I don't really know what the answer is right now. I'm not going to give up on them because even shooting 31% tonight they found a way to make it a 2 point ball game in the 2nd half. But someone is going to have to step up and make up for the points we have sitting on the bench. My vote is for Austin.

I really hope that's the case. Based on what I heard from someone with 'inside knowledge,' I'm not that optimistic.

"Because Marijuana is such a 'hard-core' Madness-inducing drug", right? If this boils down to Mary Jane??? I don't want to follow C-Hoops again. Drink all the Whisky and Vodka and Tequila to yer' heart's delight. No flag on a drug test there. But smoke a few drags of a blunt joint at a party 3-4 weeks before a drug test? Unless you are smart and drink lots, and lots, and lots of water- you. are. f***'d. Call me Krazy, but that is not fair at all. Cocaine, Crack, Angeldust, Bath Salts, Heroin, Meth, Speed, Mushrooms, LSD,(which btw is un-testable unless you do a spinal tap)- are DRUGS. THEY ARE DRUGS!!!!!! And they should be tested for. Unfortunately they ;eave their traces within 3-4 days after usage. Marijuana however, is detectable 30-35 days after usage (even from a one night toker- it's fact). So.... is Jay-O a heroin addict? Or better the question.... ARE YOU AN ALCOHOLIC? I am. Not proud to admit it but still a productive member of society and working every day to be a better, and not a bitter man and trying to limit and eventually quit alcohol. And to be a sober man. I know this all too well. If you equate Marijuana with Alcohol you are forever on the losing argument of this debate. I have gravestones to show you. Stop treating ganja as a "hard-core" drug (which alcohol is I am a living (thankfully still breathing) case-in-point example...). But do please at your will- peddle your lies. Justify your celebratory BS. It does not match to the facts of Marijuana vs. Alcohol. -signed A Recovering Alcoholic (and not one iota ashamed to admit it). And Jay-O has the WillPower to improve his LifeStyle and eliminate weed if it happens to be an outlawed tree in Wisconsin. I had a much different, surreal but awesome experience in Denver, CO 3 weeks ago. Alcohol. Alcohol. Alcohol. Alcohol. Alcohol. Alcohol. Alcohol. Alcohol. THAT- is where your "misconduct" lies. Not Marijuana. That is simply LIES. Anyone who has "partaken" will agree w/me. That is all. Let Jay-O play. Unless he is a heroin/cocaine/meth/alcohol addict? Get real. What the F*** are you trying to prove in your hypocrisy? Take another sip of the Bombay. Maybe that might clear your mind and make you realize that "pot" is no more a drug than Robitussin, Cigarettes, or.... heck melatonin (Tylenol 3). Be real and stop trying to create straw men. They don't exist. And this program won't exist if you equate a player smoking pot with doing heroin or being a coke junkie who quits for 3 days to pass a drug test...? It's a FARCE. And you know it is. Now do the right thing and at least let us know the status of Jordan Aaron. We, after all- pay for the tickets and boost the program when you give us a reason to. Answer- or forever be suspect and empty-pocketed from people who once believed in YOU (The Milwaukee AD). I am one of the few eternal optimists, but I can clearly see that most in the AD do not GAF. I cannot believe it. Maybe a paycheck is all you want- to hell with athletic success, right? I can't believe how far we have fallen since March of 2005......... I can only hope someone in a position of power feels the same. God Bless. Good Night.

Great job sh^%ting the bed tonight. Next to no chance at any bye now. Winning 4 games in a row is not likely so this was essentially the season down the tubes tonight. Instead of playing smart basketball with both of their bigs out we decided to jack up brick after brick from 3... Sounds like another offense about 80 miles west of Milwaukee.
