Of course, the conference landscape will look awfully different in a few years, so C-USA might be coming back north, etc. That would give you more options.
This is what I know: Old Dominion, a very comparable institution (25,000 students, $170 million endowment to MKE's 160, public urban research), increased its lot in life considerably by starting its football program.

and more than likely, the MAC, which I think everyone can agree is the ideal place for our program to be. i don't agree Big XII hahahaha

The legitimate, realistic ideal home for the Milwaukee Panthers is the Missouri Valley Conference. There's no conference that offers a better deal. You can say the MAC, but Milwaukee could play in the MVC (much better basketball, much better baseball, better soccer outside Akron) and if it gets a football program could play in the MAC as a football-only member a la UMass and Temple.
