From the article:
Jeter said junior guard Lonnie Boga will be transferring. Junior guard Ja'Rob McCallum also may be exploring other opportunities.
Does Shaq stay?
Let's get some commitments!

Shaq's situation is weird.
A) His brother transfers B) The team has already signed one player who shares his position (Aaron), and is actively, aggressively recruiting two others (Bloodman, Malone-Mitchell)
Really hope he stays, wouldn't be shocked if he didn't.

Don't know how much Evan's defense will have improved in the offseason, but his athletic ability, being closer to Ryan Allen's than a lot of people think, makes him an intriguing prospect to start at the 3-guard. (To me anyway.)

Weird indeed. Though Malone-Mitchell is a class of 2013, when Boga would effectively be a Junior. Shouldn't bother him at all...

(To me anyway.) The thing that Evan greatly lacks in comparison to Ryan is his foot speed. A better shooter indeed, but his quickness is the reason his defense is very average. It's really the thing I'd like to see him try to improve the most.

Also the fact that we haven't offered AMM should mean that he has no bearing on Shaq.

Any insight on why Ja'Rob would be exploring other opportunities? Not happy with the fact that we have other guys in his position? God forbid a team has some depth...
He's a great shooter and could really be helpful for this team, especially when Paris is having one of his off nights. Would hate to see him go, but I guess you have to do what you feel is best for you.

Ja' Rob isn't a great shooter; he's a streaky shooter. There are some games when he'll help the team and other games when he won't help it at all. Not much different from Paris, really. Where he helps the team, as you mention, is with its depth.
What's weird about the transfer and the seemingly impending one is that players are leaving after their redshirt third season, meaning that if they transfer to another D-1 school, they'll have to sit a year and have just one year remaining, pending an appeal for a sixth season.
What remains here is a really small guard corps, with Evan Richard the biggest of the lot.
With four scholarships (presumably) left to be used, it seems likely that we'll add more than one player.

It's nice to have an piece in the paper about the Panthers on April 9th!
Can't say I'm shocked in what I heard about L. Boga leaving the Panthers. I wouldn't be shocked not see S. Boga as a Panther in 2012-13, as well.

Enlund mentions all of the returning scholarship players except Demetrius Harris. Harris is expected back too, right?
How is your APR looking? You were down in a dangerous level, but were expecting improvement. Could that be a factor in why Unlund suggested a limited number of scholarships being used? With a good sized senior class, this definately isn't the year to bank scholarships.

With a good sized senior class, this definately isn't the year to bank scholarships. Without knowing the academic standing of the departing players, that question is hard to answer. As far as I know, the two players were in good academic standing. I'm not expecting to lose any scholarships for the next APR release.

Its beginning to look a lot like 2006-2007. I need to start planning trips or something to fill the time I would otherwise invest in watching the Panthers.

So much recruiting left to do, Freak ... and about one month left to do it.
Gotta get some of these guys -- Spearman, Alizodhic, Bloodman, Johnson -- in for official visits.
At this stage, my guess is that the team will be better than 9-22 but not as good as 20-14.

Totally unsurprised. The beat goes on. Always seems to be something "not quite right" with this whole hodge podge of a program, "system" and regime. Rob seems very satisfied though...totally fine with 20 wins and a third place finish....ok. I am a negative troll and take your shots ....just feels like more of the same... strange mix and underwhelming results
