STFU? Straight class. If that isn't taking a leave of your senses I'm not sure what is.

Why don't all you whiners grow a sack and call Rick Costello instead of pissing and moaning on a message board? Make your case, and bring your checkbooks. If you can't do either, stfu. The irony of this post is epic. It's a message board, Pinochet!

Since Fran is apparently a fan of vulgar acronyms, here's one I bet he knows: GFY.

Tim Miles to Nebraska. Terrific hire by them. Far more accomplished than Jeter. Not taking sides in the ongoing argument, but I did want to contradict this statement with some actual facts. Tim Miles is 123-120 as a Division 1 head coach at North Dakota State and Colorado State, with one appearance in the CBI, NIT and NCAA. In reality, he's got a resume not all that much different from Rob's.

Sorry Fran but if they haven't done this already, they're not going to start now. Get ready for a long, boring broken record of an argument that will result in nothing.

We all know the University can't buy out Jeter's contract or afford to pay him if he would get fired. So tell me the logic in letting Costello our disappointment with the trajectory, or lack thereof, of this program. Maybe Fran has pockets deep enough where a check would buy some imfluence, but the rest of us don't. So that leaves us this message board to air our grievances. Which is, you know, the point of a message board. If you or Fran are tired of the same "boring, broken record" of arguments, I suggest you stop reading them.

Considering this is a thread about programs showing interest in Jeter as opposed to yet another thought-provoking "Fire Jeter" thread I thought I'd keep checking this one out.
Everyone that wants Jeter gone absolutely can make their voice heard without having to shell out buyout money. It'll take longer to achieve but it happens ALL THE TIME in college sports. If you haven't figured it out by now than that's your problem. Actions speak louder than words.

Shut down the message boards! The self-proclaimed all-knowing has spoken! Apparently nobody else can have an opinion. My take is that people are on this board because they care about the success of the program. Fran thinks his way (mediocrity) is the only way and to hell with everyone else. Unfortunately, at some point he may be arguing with himself on this board because everyone else will have given up and not care anymore.

I would doubt Duquesne would have the funds to buy out Jeter's contract and give him more money than he currently earns.
I actually do agree with Fran that Jeter will be our coach for years to come. But there is no agreement as to why.

It's funny that in so many posts, you'll bash the hell out of Bruce Pearl, until now when his success conveniently supports your argument. Kind of. Jeter didn't "take over a Sweet 16 team." He took over a Sweet 16 senior class. That's it.
