Why not a "stepladder" tournament?
Monday: 7 plays 10 and 8 plays 9 in the opening round at the site of the higher seeds.
Wednesday: 5 awaits the 8/9 winner and 6 awaits the 7/10 winner, with games again played at campus sites.
Friday: 3 hosts the winner of 7-10/6 and 4 hosts the winner of 8-9/5.
Sunday: The tournament reverts to its present format, with the 1 and 2 seeds hosting the survivors at the site of the highest seed.
Tuesday: The championship is staged on the same day and time.

Our tournament is just fine, and twice in the last four years a lower seeded team has upset the tournament host on their home floor, so it's not an insurmountable ladder.

I wish either A) reseeding before the semis or B) 3-6-7-10 second round game be played at the 2 seed and the 2 seed host the semi
But I can't complain the current format is much better than the normal bracket with a 8-9 and a 7-10 play in game

Given how hot we and Green Bay have been playing recently, there's a distinct possibility of a UWM/UWGB championship game at the Cell.

In case no one has mentioned it yet, the only possible locations for a Horizon League championship game that involves the Panthers are Cleveland, Detroit and Milwaukee.

For those that want seeding and reseeding, remember: - These are student athletes, you are asking a lot of demands for travel in short period of time.
- Horizon league teams are not wealthy, you are putting a travel cost burden on teams by having them go to various cities wihtin a week period.
- Travel arrangements on short notice put a burden on these programs.
Keep the format as is. It is predictable for the programs, lessens the burden on student athletes and minimizes travel costs.

The venues could remain the same with re-seeding. It would just mean the lowest seed left plays the highest seed. RiceStillFumbled (best user name on this board btw) just brought up how being the 6 seed could be an advantage. I like our format, but it is flawed in making a 6 seed even arguably more appealing than a 4.

These are real? If so, its hard to say that there's a better value than Green Bay at 50-1. Get past Youngstown State and they don't play a road game until the finals. IMO, they shouldn't be any more a risk than Youngstown.
