Let's get back on track, get the WIN- make up for our fumbles at Hinkle Fieldhouse.. and vs. UW, and @ YSU and get off this damn #13!!! (I'm a triskaidekaphobiac*, btw.. LOL. Stupid to be superstitious, I know- but I am..). Move on! The road is a rough travel. Today's performance is no excuse (basically the CSU game IN MILWAUKEE last season...). Just win 7-9 more games out of the next 10.... I know 9 would be unreal... but 7 ain't outta the question. And who gives a flying **** about the #1 seed when it's obvious it won't help us. Let's get get #2 (or #1) seed- and roll to the Semi's with confidence. If- and only if- we can muster the intestinal fortitude to do that- we still can be repeat champions and have a shot at the ultimate goal. I thought today was the worst game we've played all season. CSU is good, but man- we got rocked- there is no spinning that. Other posters are right in that we need an offense. What I find surprising is that Shaq Boga and Demetrius Harris showed some promise late in the game, but came up short on some much-needed buckets (important at least insofar as in... making our losing margin a little more respectable!).. Do they suck? NO! But they did get needed experience and Jeter (I myself did) probably conceded defeat at around the 7 minute mark. We need shooters to step up. Paris has. Tony has. Kaylon has (esp. in the big moments (he cannot hit every game winner, and YSU shouldn't have come down to a game winning shot)). But it's almost like we have never seem them ALL be firing on ALL cylinders in the same game- why is that? Let's all take a deep breath, realize that we are 13-8 (6-3) in a damn good conference, and take heart that we have 3 straight home games (before the final LONG road SLOG) to clean up this mess of a road trip. We're a better team than we showed today. Cleveland State is good, but not that good. Oh no... just look at the box score: 35% from the field... 25% from 3 point land.... an (AWESOME!*) 71% from the charity.... ahh. But we f**ked up and free throws will not save you against a team that shoots 64% field, 53% 3-pointers & 71% FTs on you... #justsaying Milwaukee Panther Basketball..... We'll be back. Remember - 7 out of 10 could very well get us the 2 seed- and that's the only thing that even matters to us thanks to Disney one Ice. Maybe if we got the #1 seed the Horizon League would give our team special "Congrats Reg. Season Champs!!" sweatshirts or something.. but it's a contract that's over and done with and we have to live with it. Let's just get the highest seed possible and wreak havoc in the Horizon League Tourney. That (IMO), is the only way we can do big things this season. Move on- next- forget about today (just as we forgot about the CSU beatdown (AT HOME no less), last season.. Bad things happen to great teams. Adversity is a helluva thing... It can initiate a consensus of doubt, an unhealthy blame-game, and result in a string of unexpected losses.... but it can also spark a fire of Panther momentum. Let's get it Milwaukee. Don't know about you, but I saw a great team play not-so-great today. I don't think we will see the team that played today play like that again. dictionary.reference.com/browse/triskaidekaphobiaGO PANTHERS!!!! Let's beat Butler in our house and reverse course.

And who gives a flying **** about the #1 seed when it's obvious it won't help us. #1 seed still gets us the HL Championship game at the Cell, #2 doesn't guarantee that. SO the #1 seed still helps us.

Sorry, but Milwaukee has no chance in this game without getting something from Tony Meier.
Look at what it got from him a year ago in the 76-52 win over Butler at The Cell ... or at Cleveland State.
I don't know what it is, but something is clearly wrong. Now, instead of shooting badly, he's just not shooting at all.

We are half way thru the conference season. At what point do we call Tony Meier's Senior season a bust? He's putting up numbers that you would expect from a Freshman, not a Senior coming off an All-Conference Junior campaign.
I can't believe I'm about to say this. I am more comfortable with Paris shooting the ball from 3, than I am with Tony.
Chad is always talking about where they want to be at the end of the year. I'm sure that's the NCAA Tourney. If they want to get there, Tony has got to step it up and find what he had last year, because he's clearly lost whatever that was.

FWIW:
Here are out top scorers in conference games, and where they rank in the conference in pts/g. These stats only incorporate conference games.
12. James Haarsma 12.7pts/g 18. Kaylon Williams 11.6pts/g 28. Ryan Allen 9.3pts/g 32. Paris Gulley 8.7pts/g 37. Tony Meier 7.8pts/g
I agree with the above statements. We NEED more from Tony Meier to have any chance at a post season.

Hey fellas... long time. Looking forward to this game to see where we are in the wild world of HL basketball. Did I miss something, or aren't you guaranteed NOT to host the Championship due to the ice skating schedule conflict at the Cell?

We would be able to host the Champ Game, but not the Friday and Saturday games.

Will the Panther faithfull pack the house on Thursday?
Dawgs have been playing better, and I think they are going to be in a good place come tournament time, but I'm not sure what to expect on this road trip. The Wisconsin swing is always difficult, let alone with as young of a team that we have, and without any offensive threats!

Possibly, class is back in session
Not sure if the fact that it's on Thursday hurts or helps out

Milwaukee and Butler will both be wearing camouflage jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. Hmm... I wonder what those bad boys will be going for.
