Game will be announced January 30th. The ranking used are ESPN's "InsideRPI" which differs from other RPI sources, but seems to be the one used to determine matchups.
Closest teams (1/8) 85. Nevada 88. UCSB 90. Indiana St. 96. Buffalo 104. Drake 108. Akron 109. UNCW 110. Milwaukee 123. W. Michigan 128. Fairfield 138. Drexel

can't say I am all that thrilled about any of those teams at all, this bracketbuster thing that was so good when they started it has really become quite a joke.....

See that's just it: the majority of these games aren't exactly going to bust a bracket. They're useless for teams like Milwaukee whose at-large chances are already dead.

I like the BracketBuster for the one reason, it get you a game for this season and one for next season.

The bracketbuster has run it's course. Stick a fork in it.

It get(s) you a game for this season and one for next season. ... against North Dakota State, Niagara and Buffalo and whatever other refuse they muster. Couldn't we schedule smarter and more aggressively ourselves? And Eddie D., " Bango!" I wonder how many teams in the ridiculously bloated 142-team field (including the entire roster from the Southland and Summit) will see any postseason action let alone bust NCAA brackets? They oughta take this out of the microwave because it's done!

Couldn't we schedule smarter and more aggressively ourselves? You always say or ask that, the fact of the matter is the Panthers can't. This season for example they couldn't fill two dates. The home opener and Dec. 15 with a D1 school to start in Milwaukee and they would travel to their place next season. The Panthers had to go the route of SW Minn. State and waited untill October to fill UNO on Dec. 17.

The fact of the matter is that those games don't adversely impact Milwaukee's RPI quite like some of these so-called BracketBusters that really aren't BracketBusters at all do.
Does anyone here disagree with the assertion that the BracketBuster pool-play games come at an inconvenient time for this program or that the series really hasn't been good to us at all?

So, with the loss to Western Michigan and our associated plunging RPI (110) relegating us to boom-or-bust mode (again) for the rest of the year (NITs if we win the regular-season league crown; NCAAs if we win the conference tournament at a site to be determined), it's time to pose the question:
Does Kaylon Williams even suit up for this game? Seriously.

I tell you this much: Murray State vs. Long Beach State would be an AWESOME game.

Take the projection for what its worth, they have Creighton vs Northern Iowa which they wouldnt do since they already played and are in the same conference. Would like to see Drexel.

Would like to see Drexel. i dunno about Drexel...this was supposed to be "their year"...it seems like they could be another NDSU, where the return game is against a badly watered down squad
