A couple weeks ago I was looking forward to a possible TV game but we screwed that up big time...
Just focus on the remaining HL games and use this game as practice, possible rest as per usual.

Saw Fairfield play " back in the day". That was so long ago Georgetown had an all white team. The Georgetown Student Body called them "Fairy- Field". Someone stopped that in a hurry. At a recent (2/3 years ago) Bracket buster game we played at home with a lot of snow on the ground, and UWGB played at Long Beach State. Of course, I have no idea what the weather will be like this year, but UWGB gets to go and play at Loyola-Marymount. which is just off one of the Highways not far from the ocean (PCH?). As Janis said ,"It ain't right".

i wonder if we woud've took Valpo's place if we beat them last Sat. Don't think so. Because home and road teams are predetermined, sometimes there's an imbalance in the credentials of teams selected for televised games. This year, the teams on the home side of the field were much better qualified than those on the road side. As a result, teams like Old Dominion and Texas-Arlington received televised games despite having a poorer RPI than Milwaukee. Valpo is a road team; Milwaukee is an away team. That was too much to overcome despite Saturday's result. By the way, how many of the games from this event will decide an NCAA tournament at-large berth? I've got one or perhaps two out of 71: Murray State at St. Mary's (both are already likely in) and Long Beach State at Creighton (the 49ers have much more at stake than the Bluejays, and still may not make it with a win).

Horizon League has fallen to 15th in conference RPI, we need some wins as a conference to bolster this position.

Excerpted from USA Today ...
But does the BracketBuster concept have meaning in terms of selection for the Dance?
Jerry Palm, owner and operator of CollegeRPI.com, doesn't necessarily think so.
"What do the games mean? More than anything, face time on TV," Palm said in an email to USA TODAY. "Rarely has it meant anything in terms of selections."

I'm sure it helped VCU last season.

This could very well be the final Milwaukee appearance of Kaylon Williams, Ryan Allen and Tony Meier.

I would hope they can get a home game in the HL 1st round.

Ironically, the same thing could be said for the RPI (minus the TV time). You want a bracket buster- make the BC$ teams play at the Murray States, St Marys, etc.

Learned tonight: After two more years, the Horizon League is pulling out of this event.
Once the MEAC and SWAC got involved, you knew that BracketBusters was terribly bloated.
We're reportedly looking to do a challenge series instead, sometime early in the season.
