We should just copy and paste this exact thread from last year because up until the game itself it'll just be the same people making the same points.

Here's to hoping they schedule us a regional game against ISU or Oakland. I'd like a game with ODU or College of Charleston, but that's a long trip to make next year.

Saw College of Charleston play CSU in the NIT last year (off Day in Cleveland). Saw UCSB here 2 years ago, at the BC. Unless UCSB, brings its band, I do not care to see either team play again. Don't think I've ever seen Indiana State play, so I wouldn't mind seeing them play. Assuming Bruiser Flint is still at Drexel, I wouldn't mind seeing them play. His team's play hard.
Kent State made the Big Dance one year. I assume that's when Gary Waters was there. But Kent State was at the BC once. Akron used to play Duquesne every year on New Year's Eve, so I could pass on them.. Oakland usually makes the Dance, but just saw them the previous Season at the Chicago Invitational. I like the Bracket Buster, and would like to see it continue. Hopefully, the game will be against a team I've heard of and haven't seen previously.

The current projection has us playing UC Santa Barbara, although the matchup could just as easily be Old Dominion or Oakland (Mich.). The latter two would be more enticing opponents, in my opinion, unless you're thinking about a road trip in December of 2012 or 2013.

Kent State is also hosting this year and Duquesne plays in the A- 10(14), who does not participate in the BracketBusters. Count me in the camp that is hoping for Oakland or the Sycs. ODU, Asheville or C of C would also be intriguing, but indeed a nasty trip next year.

It helps recruiting on the east coast, which our coaches are doing. Also gives Jordan Aaron a game his family can get to.

While I won't exactly be doing cartwheels if we are indeed matched up with the Stags, I'll say this, their 149 ranking in InsideRPI puts them higher than 8 of our 12 non-conference opponents. It'd put them smack dab in the middle of the Horizon. Even if we can eliminate the need to play SW Minnesota State or Nebraska-Omaha, setting up a non-conference schedule is a gamble. We can only take our best guess as to how good those games will be. The BB matches teams up based on results.
