Should be a win but you never know.
It will be interesting to see how they fare against Sparty.

I'm not going to say we "should win" over anyone after the first two games.
Nothing's guaranteed if we can't get our stuff together on the court.

I'm trying to look at the glass hall-full.

"All season" constitutes one week.

Like I said it's 2-0! When you watch as much basketball as I do starting from the summer, you can see where I use the loose term "all season."

Our team is probably the least impressive 2-0 team in the nation. But they are 2-0. We could be 0-2, but stuck it out and won at the end of games.
Talking to the coaching staff, they made free throws more of a priority than usual and impressed upon the players that they need to work on their free throw shooting outside of practice. Luckily, a few of them took heed and were working on it extensively outside of practice. If you look at the free throw numbers in the NIU game, if they had made 75% instead of 52%, they'd have had another six points on their total and the end of the game would have been much different. The fact of the matter is the team would have been up by 15 or so going into the final 90 seconds and NIU might not have been so keen on the hack-a-Panther defense to make it close.
Free throws, guys. You gotta make them, throughout the game.

Free throws, guys. You gotta make them, throughout the game. And you've got to get your best shooters (Evan Richard and such) on the court in the end-game situations so they have a chance to do so.

There are few, if any players that should be on the court in that situation over Evan. I'd put Kaylon, Evan and Paris on the floor in this situation. The only problem is Kaylon isn't a particularly good FT shooter. Somehow, you get them to foul Evan, which at this point in the season, they probably don't realize that if he's on the line, it's over...

Panthers havn't played well all season and they are 2-0. I'm trying to look at the glass hall-full. Im going with mupanther here, we haven't played close to our full potential the first couple games of the season and we are still 2-0. Last year we were 0-2 to start the season against much better competition. This year we are 2-0 against very weak competition. We've struggled on both offense and defense at times (which is to be expected early on in the season). As the season progresses we will only get better, and also get Tony back. It's not like we've been awful all 40 minutes of each game. Had we simply duplicated our first half performance against NIU the end outcome is a 70-46 Panther blow out. I'm staying positive

I'm positive too, I just know we need to improve without Tony if we're going to be a championship contender when Tony gets back.

I'm not sure where I saw it but I thought I saw somewhere on the board that Lonnie Boga would be playing tomorrow against Texas Southern. According to the press notes on UWMPanthers.com, he will not be playing again tomorrow (nor will Tony Meier). uwmpanthers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/111911aab.html
