Its also being broadcast on HLN Glad you mentioned HLN TV.....I really enjoyed watching our women's volleyball team take it to the HL and end the conference season PERFECT....yes PERFECT and secure the automatic bid. It was lots of fun to watch. Just as much fun as watch our basketball team in person today take it to Texas Southern.

Best all-around game since we crushed Butler last year. The first half was one of the best halves of Panther basketball that I've seen in a while. In fact.....the entire game was just plain fun and enjoyable to watch. Go Panthers!!

The team played tough solid defense. That type of style will give them hope on Wednesday night. I don't know how good or bad Texas Southern will be this year, but the Panthers made them look bad. Milwaukee held them to less points than Michigan State did on Friday night. I want this team to act like, and to play like they belong on the same stage as MSU.......unlike their performance against Butler in the HL conference tourney final.

Did Ant Hill share his "winning the opening tip" secrets to Double K? Sure looks like it.....

It will be good to see some tougher competition. I was only able to watch parts of this game on TV but was at Fridays game. It looked like we played at the same level but the competition was weaker. I think we should all be happy with this start. I expect a good, competitive next game.

Let's not get too excited over the margin of victory. Texas Southern was awful. I honestly do not think they even have an offense to run. However it was nice to see a UWM team stomp a team they should stomp.
It will be nice to see the team play against some good competition in the upcoming weeks to see where they truly stand.

I would agree. Keep in mind TSU was 19-13 last season and made it to the NIT.

And that they were 3-11 outside of conference and the auto-bid for the SWAC has not received anything higher than a 15 or 16 seed in the tournament since 1993.

It was nice to see a (Milwaukee) team stomp a team they should stomp. This is my initial reaction. Isn't it great to experience what Marquette and Wisconsin get to experience annually against good low-majors? Playing at your place, knock them out early and get the deep bench involved after the game has long since been decided. Bravo!

Did we seriously draw 2,500 for the game today? That is pretty good for a Packer Sunday...
Could've sworn we had around 1,800 at the game.

As dylan indicated, the takeaway here was that we did exactly to TSU what the high majors do to such teams. In fact, we pretty much duplicated the results MSU achieved against them. Obviously, that doesn't mean we're as good as MSU. But it's still very encouraging, especially playing without Tony.
This team is establishing its identity on defense -- and I love it. Anybody count how many Panthers were on the floor today going after loose balls? Off the top of my head I remember Ryan, Kaylon and Haggs and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others. The intensity was outstanding, and better than any early season game I can remember from last year. Pretty impressive for playing a bunny opponent on a Sunday afternoon in a rather empty Cell. (Note to scheduler -- please don't counter program Packer games, and no, starting our game a half hour after the Packers game ends does not solve the problem.)
Really great game by Kaylon, by the way. I haven't looked at the stats but I seem to remember two turnovers attributed to him today and they were both tough situations. He was just in charge. Definitely a "Good Kaylon" day. And special mention to Haggs. He did so many good things the last two days that don't show up in the box score. Tough shooting day for Evan Richard. Typical freshman inconsistency. But really, everyone played well. It was a team win because everybody came to play.
