The Magicman thinks Coach Jeter is blowing smoke out of the Magicmans hat. Or should I say Miami's AD is trying to pull some magic out of his new AD kangol? Dylan, is this your alter-ego?

The Magicmans sources have told the Magicman that Jeter has been seen walking in the rain on the side of I 71 south, in Cleveland Ohio. When a state trooper asked to give him a ride, Jeter shouted,"gimmy an umberella". The friendly trooper granted Jeter's request. As the Trooper pulled away, Jeter gave him the finger and was yelling, "Larry Nance where are You"!

I did indeed step over the line of scrimmage in the '89 game against the Bears ... and the Bears still suck). Anyway, that couldn't have been Rob in Cleveland. First of all, who would go to Cleveland during the spring? It's not exactly Paris, you know. It may be springtime, but it's still bleak. Second, being the paragon of virtue that he is, he would never flip anyone the bird. Must have been your chosen one Frank Martin instead, magic.

There are countless thought-provoking elements to all sides of this story. It's dumbfounding that not a drop of ink has been spilled by the J-S on any of this. Enlund is in his usual summer hibernation. Do not disturb.

I am new to the board but reading all these posts I final broke and signed up because I am a bit confused.
Jeter has won 2 coach of the years in wisconsin- this year over buzz and bo- both made the tournament.
Beat butler twice- which made the national title game again-26 points blow out @ home Won the league with after a 5-5 start beating every team at least once Turned the team around from a faith which tennessee is suffering from Has a 955 APR Beat Northern Iowa when it was at full strength No Bad non conference loses this year Western Michigan won its side of the league, Florida Athletic won its league, Portland is a strong team. He has 2 20 win seasons out of 9 Won coach of the year over the Golden Boy Brad Stevens this year.
So why would Miami not want our coach I dont want him to leave but it all makes sense. Last year top four coaches in the league Stevens,Jeter, Kowalczyk, Brownell -Two moved on to better jobs one got a 12 year deal. The other one is our coach who is now being looked at my Miami so I dont see why people are shocked or being negative about it.
UWM is a place that develops coaches BO moved on to UW after being at Milwaukee and only winning 15 games
Pearl gets Tennessee doing what he does
Now Rob is being looked at by an ACC school
Makes sense to me folks.

The people being negative are, for the most part, trolls. As for me... I simply believe he has room to grow as a coach before he will be successful at a high risk situation such as Miami. I certainly don't want to see him leave, and personally, from a success standpoint, I'm surprised Miami wants him. However, he runs a spotless program and has proven that he is an effective recruiter. Whether he leaves this year, next, or the year after, he'll be a hot commodity as he continues to grow as a head coach.

His record may not be the greatest but when you look at his 2nd and 3rd year to me looking back are his best coached years. Because he made major changes to his program and won games in the league with young talent and didnt sway from his plan. He could have tried to get a quick fix in but he didnt he wanted to do things the right way. He took a kid like ricky that was not a college qualifier and got him to finish. He took Ant and made him a all league player. Now he had some moments that where lows but he never went away from his plan and I respect that.

You must not have been around when Ryan took the program over from Rick Cobb. I like RJ......but I don't think he made any major changes to the basketball program at UWM.

I respect that also, and I believe he has built up the program the right way, even if it did take a little longer than we all hoped.
