Just curious how many folks you think will be at the game. Also, I got goose bumps looking at some of the previous glory year cell pics from some of the posts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2005 year when UWM played Detroit at the Cell and won by a point in the finals was the largest crowd....?

I say somewhere around 7,000.
And should we make the championship I would think that would be closer to 9,000-10,000

I'll be there +3. If there's less than 6000, I'll be severely disappointed in the Panther fan base.

I wouldn't be that disappointed with a semis turnout of 6000. I'll be disappointed with that number in the championship game, though.

I'm expecting around 5,000 because I can't remember the last time I saw 6,000. (then again, I can't remember the last time I saw 5,000). Just looking at tickets now and the best I can get is section 309...GRRRR. Wish I hadn't waited for other people to let me know if they were going. Anyone know of an alternative to buying through ticketmaster?

I expect there to be around 4-5,000... depending on how many Butler fans make the trip. I wish I could set my expectations higher for Panther fans, but I just don't see it yet. MAYBE we could 7,000 if we make the championship.. but that will also be including BU fans (assuming that's the matchup).
Prove me wrong, Milwaukee.

No Bucks game.

That doesn't really matter. The Bucks aren't a casual draw anymore anyway.

7,000-plus for the semifinals 10,000-plus for the championship
It's because of the turnout in Milwaukee in 2003 that the Horizon League championship was switched out of the early time slot and the Sun Belt championship was moved up two hours.
And I switched out of my shift at work Saturday and will be on hand for the first time in a month.

I did see some more interest in Milwaukee lately...today, I saw a couple cars flying Milwaukee Panther flags...made me smile wide!...I expect 7-8,000 for the semis, 9-10,000 for the championship.

That doesn't really matter. The Bucks aren't a casual draw anymore anyway. It sure as hell does matter. If someone is looking for something to do Saturday, they're going to find that there isn't a Bucks game going on ... as sh*tty as they may be playing or not.

Is that really how people plan their evenings? Because I plan things out based on the question of "how much money do I not want to spend tonight"

Since I'm long removed from school, I'm curious to hear what's being done on campus to promote this game to students?
As much as I'd like to believe we'll simply see the student attendance of past tourney championships, that came about by hard work from an active Student Black and Gold Club along with relentless cheerleading from Pearl. Who is leading that charge today, if anyone?
3 days left, so it's time to rally the troops!
