Honestly I would love it if everyone in the arena stood from Intros until we hit our first bucket. I love when other schools do that

The board administrator should change the title of this thread to what it clearly ought to be:
Extend Rob Jeter's contract -- NOW!
I hope everyone here realizes that if we win on Tuesday the most pressing job Rick Costello will have on his desk will be to fend off the inevitable offers that will come Rob's way. As some of us have been trying to point out for years, Rob has had this program on a straight elevating trend line ever since the Bo/Bruce players exhausted their eligibility. Every AD in the country with a moribund basketball program will know that.

Well I normally stand from the time the opposing teams intros start 'till tip off, so, count me in.
I would really like to hear the Mecca erupt when our players first run on the court.

This. Jeter's proved that his system can produce an exciting, winning team. Sadly, now we have to worry about keeping him here.

How much further should be extend his contract? He has an auto renewal that extends the contract out 5 years every. And there is no reason he should get a raise since he is still the 2nd highest paid coach in the league.
I could be terribly wrong but I really dont see him moving on until Bo hangs them up in Madison in a few years.

That's true. I bet he wants to take over at Madison.

It would be nice to restructure the contract so there's a mutual buyout clause, a 2-for-2 hiring school stipulation, and some other things. Mainly because the school isn't protected if he leaves or we want him to leave (the latter seems so distant now yay)

Wisconsin will hire a coach that fits the Wisconsin identity. Rob Jeter most certainly does not.

Are you sure about this, I thought there was a buyout clause in the contract?

ghostofdylan, you are an idiot...We were out coached by Valpo with as much foul trouble they had early and were able to keep it close and to come to a championship game and put on a performance like they did tonight. This team was not perpared, a well coached teams do not make the simple mistakes we make over and over. maybe if you actually wathced the game and were somewhat educated about the game you might not make silly comments..
