Coach Bidlingmyer put an add in today on Basketbal Travelers, Inc.
UW-Milwaukee is looking for multiple H/H series. 3 in Milwaukee and 1 on the road. We also would like to start a 2 for 1 with a BCS school on the road.

Another cool note I saw on that site (which is pretty freaking cool and illustrates the struggles mid-majors face in trying to schedule BCS schools):
"UW-Milwaukee is looking for an exempt event opening weekend in 2010."
Not sure if that means we're trying to host, or if looking to play in one.

He wrote that 12/10/09, that exempt they want I'm sure is on the road, like they did last season at Iowa State.

Right, so I wonder if they filled it or not... I also happen to see Hawaii is hosting an exempt event the opening weekend. [/wishfulthinking]

If the Panthers need the money, why don't they get some payday games at Kansas, UL or whoever?
With MU than UW coming in the next two season should help build attendance. They must sell alot of 5-game packs. That is what I'm telling MU fans if you want a ticket?

I thought UW and MU played our our place next year?
Because we are hosting them I think it makes it easier to schedule because we can take more 1 for 1 deals starting out on the road.

MU plays at our place next year. I don't know when UW is playing here.

Yeah, why don't we just get some buy games with Kansas, Louisville, etc? I'm sure there couldn't be at least 175 teams that are more likely to provide them a guaranteed win for their buy money.
Oh, wait.
Does the problem begin to dawn on some of you? We are in THE worst possible spot for scheduling such games. We are a mid-major that plays in a good league with an excellent, stable coaching staff, talented players and year-after-year improvement. You really think that BCS teams are ringing OUR phone off the hook to pay us buy money when the Gramblings, South Dakotas and Stetsons of the world are out there? The high majors don't look for buy games that might be competitive; the whole point is that they are BUYING wins. Their season ticket holders b**** about the crappy teams on the schedule, but they'd b**** more if they lost home games.

+1 to Fran.
If we could get a buy game, I think we would. I think Wyoming paid us to come out there, and what did we do...beat them at home.
the Cuse bought CSU to come play them...and look at what happened.

No kidding it's hard for a mid-major to get a game. Doesn't mean you can't get a game if you call the right school. Loyola was at Kansas State. CSU played Ohio State and WVU. UIC was at Wisconsin.
UWM is looking for a 2 for 1 deal with an BCS school.

MU 2010 and UW 2011 ;D ;D ;D I hope UWM can get the deal they want with a BCS school. That means two BCS schools would come to the Cell in 2011.

I would actually guess they would, if possible, take the home game in 2012 so that it adds another premium game for that season as there would be no Madison or MU visiting in 2012.
Any word on possible exempt tournaments to start next year yet?

CSU/Ohio State is like UWM/Wisconsin. It's an in-state game.
As for why Loyola and UIC play good teams....see BBFran.
